2:1 LAI TB, Demikianlah diselesaikan langit dan bumi dan segala isinya.
KJV, Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.

וַיְכֻלּוּ הַשָּׁמַיִם וְהָאָרֶץ וְכָל־צְבָאָם׃
Translit, VAYEKHULU HASHAMAYIM VEHA’ARETS VEKHOL-TSEVA’AM

2:2 LAI TB, Ketika Allah pada hari ketujuh telah menyelesaikan pekerjaan yang dibuat-Nya itu, berhentilah Ia pada hari ketujuh dari segala pekerjaan yang telah dibuat-Nya itu.
KJV, And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

וַיְכַל אֱלֹהִים בַּיֹּום הַשְּׁבִיעִי מְלַאכְתֹּו אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה וַיִּשְׁבֹּת בַּיֹּום הַשְּׁבִיעִי מִכָּל־מְלַאכְתֹּו אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה׃

2:3 LAI TB, Lalu Allah memberkati hari ketujuh itu dan menguduskannya, karena pada hari itulah Ia berhenti dari segala pekerjaan penciptaan yang telah dibuat-Nya itu.
KJV, And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

וַיְבָרֶךְ אֱלֹהִים אֶת־יֹום הַשְּׁבִיעִי וַיְקַדֵּשׁ אֹתֹו כִּי בֹו שָׁבַת מִכָּל־מְלַאכְתֹּו אֲשֶׁר־בָּרָא אֱלֹהִים לַעֲשֹׂות׃ פ

2:4 LAI TB, Demikianlah riwayat langit dan bumi pada waktu diciptakan. Ketika TUHAN Allah menjadikan bumi dan langit, —
KJV, These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

אֵלֶּה תֹולְדֹות הַשָּׁמַיִם וְהָאָרֶץ בְּהִבָּרְאָם בְּיֹום עֲשֹׂות יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים אֶרֶץ וְשָׁמָיִם׃

2:5 LAI TB, belum ada semak apa pun di bumi, belum timbul tumbuh-tumbuhan apa pun di padang, sebab TUHAN Allah belum menurunkan hujan ke bumi, dan belum ada orang untuk mengusahakan tanah itu;
KJV, And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground.

וְכֹל ׀ שִׂיחַ הַשָּׂדֶה טֶרֶם יִהְיֶה בָאָרֶץ וְכָל־עֵשֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶה טֶרֶם יִצְמָח כִּי לֹא הִמְטִיר יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים עַל־הָאָרֶץ וְאָדָם אַיִן לַעֲבֹד אֶת־הָאֲדָמָה׃

2:6 LAI TB, tetapi ada kabut naik ke atas dari bumi dan membasahi seluruh permukaan bumi itu —
KJV, But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

וְאֵד יַעֲלֶה מִן־הָאָרֶץ וְהִשְׁקָ אֶת־כָּל־פְּנֵי־הָאֲדָמָה׃
Translit, VE’ED YA’ALEH MIN-HA’ARETS VEHISH’QA ‘ET-KOL-PENEY HA’ADAMAH

2:7 LAI TB, ketika itulah TUHAN Allah membentuk manusia itu dari debu tanah dan menghembuskan nafas hidup ke dalam hidungnya; demikianlah manusia itu menjadi makhluk yang hidup.
KJV, And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

וַיִּיצֶר יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים אֶת־הָאָדָם עָפָר מִן־הָאֲדָמָה וַיִּפַּח בְּאַפָּיו נִשְׁמַת חַיִּים וַיְהִי הָאָדָם לְנֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה׃

2:8 LAI TB, Selanjutnya TUHAN Allah membuat taman di Eden, di sebelah timur; disitulah ditempatkan-Nya manusia yang dibentuk-Nya itu.
KJV, And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

וַיִּטַּע יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים גַּן־בְּעֵדֶן מִקֶּדֶם וַיָּשֶׂם שָׁם אֶת־הָאָדָם אֲשֶׁר יָצָר׃
Translit, VAYITA YEHOVAH (baca ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHIM GAN-BE’EDEN MIQEDEM VAYASEM SHAM ‘ET-HA’ADAM ‘ASHER YATSAR

2:9 LAI TB, Lalu TUHAN Allah menumbuhkan berbagai-bagai pohon dari bumi, yang menarik dan yang baik untuk dimakan buahnya; dan pohon kehidupan di tengah-tengah taman itu, serta pohon pengetahuan tentang yang baik dan yang jahat.
KJV, And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Hebrew,
וַיַּצְמַח יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים מִן־הָאֲדָמָה כָּל־עֵץ נֶחְמָד לְמַרְאֶה וְטֹוב לְמַאֲכָל וְעֵץ הַחַיִּים בְּתֹוךְ הַגָּן וְעֵץ הַדַּעַת טֹוב וָרָע׃
Translit, VAYATS’MAKH YEHOVAH (baca ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHIM MIN-HA’ADAMAH KOL-‘ETS NEKH’MAD LEMAR’EH VETOV LEMA’AKHAL VE’ETS HAKHAYIM BETOKH HAGAN VE’ETS HADA’AT TOV VARA

2:10 LAI TB, Ada suatu sungai mengalir dari Eden untuk membasahi taman itu, dan dari situ sungai itu terbagi menjadi empat cabang.
KJV, And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

וְנָהָר יֹצֵא מֵעֵדֶן לְהַשְׁקֹות אֶת־הַגָּן וּמִשָּׁם יִפָּרֵד וְהָיָה לְאַרְבָּעָה רָאשִׁים׃
Translit, VENAHAR YOTSE ME’EDEN LEHASH’QOT ‘ET-HAGAN UMISHAM YIPARED VEHAYAH LE’AR’BAH RASHIM

2:11 LAI TB, Yang pertama, namanya Pison, yakni yang mengalir mengelilingi seluruh tanah Hawila, tempat emas ada.
KJV, The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

שֵׁם הָאֶחָד פִּישֹׁון הוּא הַסֹּבֵב אֵת כָּל־אֶרֶץ הַחֲוִילָה אֲשֶׁר־שָׁם הַזָּהָב׃
Translit, SHEM HA’EKHAD PISHON HU HASOVEV ‘ET KOL-‘ERETS HAKHAVILAH ‘ASHER-SHAM HAZAHAV

2:12 LAI TB, Dan emas dari negeri itu baik; di sana ada damar bedolah dan batu krisopras.
KJV, And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

וּזֲהַב הָאָרֶץ הַהִוא טֹוב שָׁם הַבְּדֹלַח וְאֶבֶן הַשֹּׁהַם׃

2:13 LAI TB, Nama sungai yang kedua ialah Gihon, yakni yang mengalir mengelilingi seluruh tanah Kush.
KJV, And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

וְשֵׁם־הַנָּהָר הַשֵּׁנִי גִּיחֹון הוּא הַסֹּובֵב אֵת כָּל־אֶרֶץ כּוּשׁ׃
Translit, VESHEM-HANAHAR HASHENI GIKHON HU HASOVEV ‘ET KOL-‘ERETS KUSH

2:14 LAI TB, Nama sungai yang ketiga ialah Tigris, yakni yang mengalir di sebelah timur Asyur. Dan sungai yang keempat ialah Efrat.
KJV, And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.
Hebrew,
וְשֵׁם הַנָּהָר הַשְּׁלִישִׁי חִדֶּקֶל הוּא הַהֹלֵךְ קִדְמַת אַשּׁוּר וְהַנָּהָר הָרְבִיעִי הוּא פְרָת׃
Translit, VESHEM HANAHAR HASHELISHI KHIDEQEL HU HAHOLEKH QID’MAT ‘ASHUR VEHANAHAR HARVI’I HU FERAT

2:15 LAI TB, TUHAN Allah mengambil manusia itu dan menempatkannya dalam taman Eden untuk mengusahakan dan memelihara taman itu.
KJV, And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

וַיִּקַּח יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים אֶת־הָאָדָם וַיַּנִּחֵהוּ בְגַן־עֵדֶן לְעָבְדָהּ וּלְשָׁמְרָהּ׃

2:16 LAI TB, Lalu TUHAN Allah memberi perintah ini kepada manusia: “Semua pohon dalam taman ini boleh kaumakan buahnya dengan bebas,

2:17 LAI TB, tetapi pohon pengetahuan tentang yang baik dan yang jahat itu, janganlah kaumakan buahnya, sebab pada hari engkau memakannya, pastilah engkau mati.”
KJV, But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

וּמֵעֵץ הַדַּעַת טֹוב וָרָע לֹא תֹאכַל מִמֶּנּוּ כִּי בְּיֹום אֲכָלְךָ מִמֶּנּוּ מֹות תָּמוּת׃
Translit, UME’ETS HADA’AT TOV VARA LO TOKHAL MIMENU KI BEYOM ‘AKHOL’KHA MIMENU MOT TAMUT

2:18 LAI TB, TUHAN Allah berfirman: “Tidak baik, kalau manusia itu seorang diri saja. Aku akan menjadikan penolong baginya, yang sepadan dengan dia.”
KJV, And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים לֹא־טֹוב הֱיֹות הָאָדָם לְבַדֹּו אֶעֱשֶׂהּ־לֹּו עֵזֶר כְּנֶגְדֹּו׃

2:19 LAI TB, Lalu TUHAN Allah membentuk dari tanah segala binatang hutan dan segala burung di udara. Dibawa-Nyalah semuanya kepada manusia itu untuk melihat, bagaimana ia menamainya; dan seperti nama yang diberikan manusia itu kepada tiap-tiap makhluk yang hidup, demikianlah nanti nama makhluk itu.
KJV, And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof.

2:20 LAI TB, Manusia itu memberi nama kepada segala ternak, kepada burung-burung di udara dan kepada segala binatang hutan, tetapi baginya sendiri ia tidak menjumpai penolong yang sepadan dengan dia.
KJV, And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

וַיִּקְרָא הָאָדָם שֵׁמֹות לְכָל־הַבְּהֵמָה וּלְעֹוף הַשָּׁמַיִם וּלְכֹל חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה וּלְאָדָם לֹא־מָצָא עֵזֶר כְּנֶגְדֹּו׃

2:21 LAI TB, Lalu TUHAN Allah membuat manusia itu tidur nyenyak; ketika ia tidur, TUHAN Allah mengambil salah satu rusuk dari padanya, lalu menutup tempat itu dengan daging.
KJV, And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

וַיַּפֵּל יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים ׀ תַּרְדֵּמָה עַל־הָאָדָם וַיִּישָׁן וַיִּקַּח אַחַת מִצַּלְעֹתָיו וַיִּסְגֹּר בָּשָׂר תַּחְתֶּנָּה׃

2:22 LAI TB, Dan dari rusuk yang diambil TUHAN Allah dari manusia itu, dibangun-Nyalah seorang perempuan, lalu dibawa-Nya kepada manusia itu.
KJV, And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

וַיִּבֶן יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים ׀ אֶת־הַצֵּלָע אֲשֶׁר־לָקַח מִן־הָאָדָם לְאִשָּׁה וַיְבִאֶהָ אֶל־הָאָדָם׃

2:23 LAI TB, Lalu berkatalah manusia itu: “Inilah dia, tulang dari tulangku dan daging dari dagingku. Ia akan dinamai perempuan, sebab ia diambil dari laki-laki.”
KJV, And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

וַיֹּאמֶר הָאָדָם זֹאת הַפַּעַם עֶצֶם מֵעֲצָמַי וּבָשָׂר מִבְּשָׂרִי לְזֹאת יִקָּרֵא אִשָּׁה כִּי מֵאִישׁ לֻקֳחָה־זֹּאת׃

2:24 LAI TB, Sebab itu seorang laki-laki akan meninggalkan ayahnya dan ibunya dan bersatu dengan isterinya, sehingga keduanya menjadi satu daging.
KJV, Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

עַל־כֵּן יַעֲזָב־אִישׁ אֶת־אָבִיו וְאֶת־אִמֹּו וְדָבַק בְּאִשְׁתֹּו וְהָיוּ לְבָשָׂר אֶחָד׃

2:25 LAI TB, Mereka keduanya telanjang, manusia dan isterinya itu, tetapi mereka tidak merasa malu.
KJV, And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
