3:1 LAI TB, Adapun ular ialah yang paling cerdik dari segala binatang di darat yang dijadikan oleh TUHAN Allah. Ular itu berkata kepada perempuan itu: “Tentulah Allah berfirman: Semua pohon dalam taman ini jangan kamu makan buahnya, bukan?”
KJV, Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Hebrew,
וְהַנָּחָשׁ הָיָה עָרוּם מִכֹּל חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל־הָאִשָּׁה אַף כִּי־אָמַר אֱלֹהִים לֹא תֹאכְלוּ מִכֹּל עֵץ הַגָּן׃

3:2 LAI TB, Lalu sahut perempuan itu kepada ular itu: “Buah pohon-pohonan dalam taman ini boleh kami makan,

וַתֹּאמֶר הָאִשָּׁה אֶל־הַנָּחָשׁ מִפְּרִי עֵץ־הַגָּן נֹאכֵל׃
Translit, VATOMER HA’ISHAH ‘EL-HANAKHASH MIP’RI ‘ETS-HAGAN NOKHEL

3:3 LAI TB, tetapi tentang buah pohon yang ada di tengah-tengah taman, Allah berfirman: Jangan kamu makan ataupun raba buah itu, nanti kamu mati.”
KJV, But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

וּמִפְּרִי הָעֵץ אֲשֶׁר בְּתֹוךְ־הַגָּן אָמַר אֱלֹהִים לֹא תֹאכְלוּ מִמֶּנּוּ וְלֹא תִגְּעוּ בֹּו פֶּן־תְּמֻתוּן׃

3:4 LAI TB, Tetapi ular itu berkata kepada perempuan itu: “Sekali-kali kamu tidak akan mati,

וַיֹּאמֶר הַנָּחָשׁ אֶל־הָאִשָּׁה לֹא־מֹות תְּמֻתוּן׃
Translit, VAYOMER HANAKHASH ‘EL-HA’ISYAH LO-MOT TEMUTUN

3:5 LAI TB, tetapi Allah mengetahui, bahwa pada waktu kamu memakannya matamu akan terbuka, dan kamu akan menjadi seperti Allah, tahu tentang yang baik dan yang jahat.”
KJV, For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Hebrew,
כִּי יֹדֵעַ אֱלֹהִים כִּי בְּיֹום אֲכָלְכֶם מִמֶּנּוּ וְנִפְקְחוּ עֵינֵיכֶם וִהְיִיתֶם כֵּאלֹהִים יֹדְעֵי טֹוב וָרָע׃

3:6 LAI TB, Perempuan itu melihat, bahwa buah pohon itu baik untuk dimakan dan sedap kelihatannya, lagipula pohon itu menarik hati karena memberi pengertian. Lalu ia mengambil dari buahnya dan dimakannya dan diberikannya juga kepada suaminya yang bersama-sama dengan dia, dan suaminya pun memakannya.
KJV, And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

וַתֵּרֶא הָאִשָּׁה כִּי טֹוב הָעֵץ לְמַאֲכָל וְכִי תַאֲוָה־הוּא לָעֵינַיִם וְנֶחְמָד הָעֵץ לְהַשְׂכִּיל וַתִּקַּח מִפִּרְיֹו וַתֹּאכַל וַתִּתֵּן גַּם־לְאִישָׁהּ עִמָּהּ וַיֹּאכַל׃
Translit, VATERE HA’ISHAH KI TOV HA’ETS LEMA’AKHAL VEKHI TA’AVAH-HU LA’EYNAYIM VENEKH’MAD HA’ETS LEHAS’KIL VATIQAKH MIPIR’YO VATOKHAL VATITEN GAM-LE’ISHAH ‘IMAH VAYOKHAL

3:7 LAI TB, Maka terbukalah mata mereka berdua dan mereka tahu, bahwa mereka telanjang; lalu mereka menyemat daun pohon ara dan membuat cawat.
KJV, And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

וַתִּפָּקַחְנָה עֵינֵי שְׁנֵיהֶם וַיֵּדְעוּ כִּי עֵירֻמִּם הֵם וַיִּתְפְּרוּ עֲלֵה תְאֵנָה וַיַּעֲשׂוּ לָהֶם חֲגֹרֹת׃
Translit, VATIPAQAKHNAH ‘EINEY SHENEIHEM VAYEDE’U KI EYRUMIM HEM VAYIT’PERU ‘ALEH TE’ENAH VAYA’ASU LAHEM KHAGOROT

3:8 LAI TB, Ketika mereka mendengar bunyi langkah TUHAN Allah, yang berjalan-jalan dalam taman itu pada waktu hari sejuk, bersembunyilah manusia dan isterinya itu terhadap TUHAN Allah di antara pohon-pohonan dalam taman.
KJV, And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.

וַיִּשְׁמְעוּ אֶת־קֹול יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים מִתְהַלֵּךְ בַּגָּן לְרוּחַ הַיֹּום וַיִּתְחַבֵּא הָאָדָם וְאִשְׁתֹּו מִפְּנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים בְּתֹוךְ עֵץ הַגָּן׃
Translit, VAYISH’ME’U ET-QOL YEHOVAH (baca ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHIM MIT’HALEKH BAGAN LERU’AKH HAYOM VAYIT’KHABE HA’ADAM VE’ISH’TO MIP’NEY YEHOVAH (baca ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHIM BETOKH ‘ETS HAGAN

3:9 LAI TB, Tetapi TUHAN Allah memanggil manusia itu dan berfirman kepadanya: “Di manakah engkau?”
KJV, And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

וַיִּקְרָא יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים אֶל־הָאָדָם וַיֹּאמֶר לֹו אַיֶּכָּה׃
Translit, VAYIQ’RA YEHOVAH (baca ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHIM ‘EL-HA’ADAM VAYOMER LO ‘AYEKAH

3:10 LAI TB, Ia menjawab: “Ketika aku mendengar, bahwa Engkau ada dalam taman ini, aku menjadi takut, karena aku telanjang; sebab itu aku bersembunyi.”
KJV, And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
Hebrew,
וַיֹּאמֶר אֶת־קֹלְךָ שָׁמַעְתִּי בַּגָּן וָאִירָא כִּי־עֵירֹם אָנֹכִי וָאֵחָבֵא׃
Translit, VAYOMER ‘ET-QOL’KHA SHAMATI BAGAN VA’IRA KI-‘EYROM ANOKHI VAE’KHAVE

3:11 LAI TB, Firman-Nya: “Siapakah yang memberitahukan kepadamu, bahwa engkau telanjang? Apakah engkau makan dari buah pohon, yang Kularang engkau makan itu?”
KJV, And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?
Hebrew,
וַיֹּאמֶר מִי הִגִּיד לְךָ כִּי עֵירֹם אָתָּה הֲמִן־הָעֵץ אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִיךָ לְבִלְתִּי אֲכָל־מִמֶּנּוּ אָכָלְתָּ׃
Translit, VAYOMER MI HIGID LEKHA KI ‘EYROM ‘ATAH HAMIN-HA’ETS ‘ASHER TSIVITIKHA LEVIL’TI ‘AKHOL-MIMENU ‘AKHALTA

3:12 LAI TB, Manusia itu menjawab: “Perempuan yang Kautempatkan di sisiku, dialah yang memberi dari buah pohon itu kepadaku, maka kumakan.”
KJV, And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.
Hebrew,
וַיֹּאמֶר הָאָדָם הָאִשָּׁה אֲשֶׁר נָתַתָּה עִמָּדִי הִוא נָתְנָה־לִּי מִן־הָעֵץ וָאֹכֵל׃
Translit, VAYOMER HA’ADAM HA’ISHAH ‘ASHER NATATAH ‘IMADI HI NAT’NAH-LI MIN-HA’ETS VA’OKHEL

3:13 LAI TB, Kemudian berfirmanlah TUHAN Allah kepada perempuan itu: “Apakah yang telah kauperbuat ini?” Jawab perempuan itu: “Ular itu yang memperdayakan aku, maka kumakan.”
KJV, And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים לָאִשָּׁה מַה־זֹּאת עָשִׂית וַתֹּאמֶר הָאִשָּׁה הַנָּחָשׁ הִשִּׁיאַנִי וָאֹכֵל׃
Translit, VAYOMER YEHOVAH (baca ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHIM LA’ISHAH MAH-ZOT ‘ASIT VATOMER HA’ISHAH HANAKHASH HISHI’ANI VA’OKHEL

3:14 LAI TB, Lalu berfirmanlah TUHAN Allah kepada ular itu: “Karena engkau berbuat demikian, terkutuklah engkau di antara segala ternak dan di antara segala binatang hutan; dengan perutmulah engkau akan menjalar dan debu tanahlah akan kaumakan seumur hidupmu.
KJV, And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהֹוָה אֱלֹהִים ׀ אֶל־הַנָּחָשׁ כִּי עָשִׂיתָ זֹּאת אָרוּר אַתָּה מִכָּל־הַבְּהֵמָה וּמִכֹּל חַיַּת הַשָּׂדֶה עַל־גְּחֹנְךָ תֵלֵךְ וְעָפָר תֹּאכַל כָּל־יְמֵי חַיֶּיךָ׃
Translit, VAYOMER YEHOVAH (baca ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHIM ‘EL-HANAKHASH KI ‘ASITA ZOT ‘ARUR ‘ATAH MIKOL-HABEHEMAH UMIKOL KHAYAT HASADEH ‘AL-GEKHON’KHA TELEKH VE’AFAR TOKHAL KOL-YEMEY KHAYEIKHA

3:15 LAI TB, Aku akan mengadakan permusuhan antara engkau dan perempuan ini, antara keturunanmu dan keturunannya; keturunannya akan meremukkan kepalamu, dan engkau akan meremukkan tumitnya.”
KJV, And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Hebrew,
וְאֵיבָה ׀ אָשִׁית בֵּינְךָ וּבֵין הָאִשָּׁה וּבֵין זַרְעֲךָ וּבֵין זַרְעָהּ הוּא יְשׁוּפְךָ רֹאשׁ וְאַתָּה תְּשׁוּפֶנּוּ עָקֵב׃ ס
Translit, VE’EYVAH ‘ASHIT BEN’KHA UVEIN HA’ISHAH UVEIN ZARAKHA UVEIN ZAR’AH HU YESHUF’KHA ROSH VE’ATAH TESH’YUFENU ‘AQEV

3:16 LAI TB, Firman-Nya kepada perempuan itu: “Susah payahmu waktu mengandung akan Kubuat sangat banyak; dengan kesakitan engkau akan melahirkan anakmu; namun engkau akan berahi kepada suamimu dan ia akan berkuasa atasmu.”
KJV, Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
Hebrew,
אֶל־הָאִשָּׁה אָמַר הַרְבָּה אַרְבֶּה עִצְּבֹונֵךְ וְהֵרֹנֵךְ בְּעֶצֶב תֵּלְדִי בָנִים וְאֶל־אִישֵׁךְ תְּשׁוּקָתֵךְ וְהוּא יִמְשָׁל־בָּךְ׃ ס
Translit, ‘EL-HA’ISHAH ‘AMAR HAR’BAH ‘AR’BEH ITS’VONEKH VEHERONEKH BE’ETSEV TEL’DI VANIM VE’EL-‘ISHEKH TESHUQATEKH VEHU YIM’SHOL-BAKH

3:17 LAI TB, Lalu firman-Nya kepada manusia itu: “Karena engkau mendengarkan perkataan isterimu dan memakan dari buah pohon, yang telah Kuperintahkan kepadamu: Jangan makan dari padanya, maka terkutuklah tanah karena engkau; dengan bersusah payah engkau akan mencari rezekimu dari tanah seumur hidupmu:
KJV, And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

וּלְאָדָם אָמַר כִּי־שָׁמַעְתָּ לְקֹול אִשְׁתֶּךָ וַתֹּאכַל מִן־הָעֵץ אֲשֶׁר צִוִּיתִיךָ לֵאמֹר לֹא תֹאכַל מִמֶּנּוּ אֲרוּרָה הָאֲדָמָה בַּעֲבוּרֶךָ בְּעִצָּבֹון תֹּאכֲלֶנָּה כֹּל יְמֵי חַיֶּיךָ׃
Translit, ULE’ADAM ‘AMAR KI SHAMATA LEQOL ‘ISH’TEKHA VATOKHAL MIN-HA’ETS ‘ASHER TSIVITIKHA LEMOR LO TOKHAL MIMENU ‘ARURAH HA’ADAMAH BA’AVUREKHA BE’ITSAVON TOKHALENA KOL YEMEY KHAYEYKHA

3:18 LAI TB, semak duri dan rumput duri yang akan dihasilkannya bagimu, dan tumbuh-tumbuhan di padang akan menjadi makananmu;
KJV, Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
Hebrew,
וְקֹוץ וְדַרְדַּר תַּצְמִיחַ לָךְ וְאָכַלְתָּ אֶת־עֵשֶׂב הַשָּׂדֶה׃
Translit, VEQOTS VEDAR’DAR TATSMI’AKH LAKH VE’AKHAL’TA ‘ET-‘ESEV HASADEH

3:19 LAI TB, dengan berpeluh engkau akan mencari makananmu, sampai engkau kembali lagi menjadi tanah, karena dari situlah engkau diambil; sebab engkau debu dan engkau akan kembali menjadi debu.”
KJV, In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

בְּזֵעַת אַפֶּיךָ תֹּאכַל לֶחֶם עַד שׁוּבְךָ אֶל־הָאֲדָמָה כִּי מִמֶּנָּה לֻקָּחְתָּ כִּי־עָפָר אַתָּה וְאֶל־עָפָר תָּשׁוּב׃

3:20 LAI TB, Manusia itu memberi nama Hawa kepada isterinya, sebab dialah yang menjadi ibu semua yang hidup.
KJV, And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

וַיִּקְרָא הָאָדָם שֵׁם אִשְׁתֹּו חַוָּה כִּי הִוא הָיְתָה אֵם כָּל־חָי׃
Translit, VAYIQ’RA HA’ADAM SHEM ‘ISHTO KHAVAH KI HI HAY’TAH ‘EM KOL-KHAY

3:21 LAI TB, Dan TUHAN Allah membuat pakaian dari kulit binatang untuk manusia dan untuk isterinya itu, lalu mengenakannya kepada mereka.
KJV, Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

וַיַּעַשׂ יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים לְאָדָם וּלְאִשְׁתֹּו כָּתְנֹות עֹור וַיַּלְבִּשֵׁם׃ פ

3:22 LAI TB, Berfirmanlah TUHAN Allah: “Sesungguhnya manusia itu telah menjadi seperti salah satu dari Kita, tahu tentang yang baik dan yang jahat; maka sekarang jangan sampai ia mengulurkan tangannya dan mengambil pula dari buah pohon kehidupan itu dan memakannya, sehingga ia hidup untuk selama-lamanya.”
KJV, And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

וַיֹּאמֶר ׀ יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים הֵן הָאָדָם הָיָה כְּאַחַד מִמֶּנּוּ לָדַעַת טֹוב וָרָע וְעַתָּה ׀ פֶּן־יִשְׁלַח יָדֹו וְלָקַח גַּם מֵעֵץ הַחַיִּים וְאָכַל וָחַי לְעֹלָם׃

3:23 LAI TB, Lalu TUHAN Allah mengusir dia dari taman Eden supaya ia mengusahakan tanah dari mana ia diambil.
KJV, Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

וַיְשַׁלְּחֵהוּ יְהוָה אֱלֹהִים מִגַּן־עֵדֶן לַעֲבֹד אֶת־הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר לֻקַּח מִשָּׁם׃
Translit, VAYESHAL’KHEHU YEHOVAH (baca ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHIM MIGAN-‘EDEN LA’AVOD ‘ET-HA’ADAMAH ‘ASHER LUQAKH MISHAM

3:24 LAI TB, Ia menghalau manusia itu dan di sebelah timur taman Eden ditempatkan-Nyalah beberapa kerub dengan pedang yang bernyala-nyala dan menyambar-nyambar, untuk menjaga jalan ke pohon kehidupan.
KJV, So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

וַיְגָרֶשׁ אֶת־הָאָדָם וַיַּשְׁכֵּן מִקֶּדֶם לְגַן־עֵדֶן אֶת־הַכְּרֻבִים וְאֵת לַהַט הַחֶרֶב הַמִּתְהַפֶּכֶת לִשְׁמֹר אֶת־דֶּרֶךְ עֵץ הַחַיִּים׃ ס
Translit, VAYEGARESH ‘ET-HA’ADAM VAYASH’KEN MIQEDEM LEGAN-‘EDEN ‘ET-HAKERUVIM VE’ET LAHAT HAKHEREV HAMIT’HAPEKHET LISH’MOR ‘ET-DEREKH ‘ETS HAKHAYIM
