24:1 LAI TB, Adapun Abraham telah tua dan lanjut umurnya, serta diberkati TUHAN dalam segala hal.
KJV, And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.

וְאַבְרָהָם זָקֵן בָּא בַּיָּמִים וַיהוָה בֵּרַךְ אֶת־אַבְרָהָם בַּכֹּל׃

24:2 LAI TB, Berkatalah Abraham kepada hambanya yang paling tua dalam rumahnya, yang menjadi kuasa atas segala kepunyaannya, katanya: “Baiklah letakkan tanganmu di bawah pangkal pahaku,
KJV, And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh:

וַיֹּאמֶר אַבְרָהָם אֶל־עַבְדֹּו זְקַן בֵּיתֹו הַמֹּשֵׁל בְּכָל־אֲשֶׁר־לֹו שִׂים־נָא יָדְךָ תַּחַת יְרֵכִי׃
Translit, VAYOMER ‘AVRAHAM ‘EL-‘AVDO ZEQAN BEITO HAMOSYEL BEKHOL-‘ASYER-LO SIM-NA YADKHA TAKHAT YEREKHI

24:3 LAI TB, supaya aku mengambil sumpahmu demi TUHAN, Allah yang empunya langit dan yang empunya bumi, bahwa engkau tidak akan mengambil untuk anakku seorang isteri dari antara perempuan Kanaan yang di antaranya aku diam.
KJV, And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:

וְאַשְׁבִּיעֲךָ בַּיהוָה אֱלֹהֵי הַשָּׁמַיִם וֵאלֹהֵי הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר לֹא־תִקַּח אִשָּׁה לִבְנִי מִבְּנֹות הַכְּנַעֲנִי אֲשֶׁר אָנֹכִי יֹושֵׁב בְּקִרְבֹּו׃

24:4 LAI TB, Tetapi engkau harus pergi ke negeriku dan kepada sanak saudaraku untuk mengambil seorang isteri bagi Ishak, anakku.”
KJV, But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.

כִּי אֶל־אַרְצִי וְאֶל־מֹולַדְתִּי תֵּלֵךְ וְלָקַחְתָּ אִשָּׁה לִבְנִי לְיִצְחָק׃
Translit, KI ‘EL-ARTSI VE’EL-MOLADTI TELEKH VELAQAKHTA ISYAH LIVNI LEYITSKHAKQ

24:5 LAI TB, Lalu berkatalah hambanya itu kepadanya: “Mungkin perempuan itu tidak suka mengikuti aku ke negeri ini; haruskah aku membawa anakmu itu kembali ke negeri dari mana tuanku keluar?”
KJV, And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest?

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו הָעֶבֶד אוּלַי לֹא־תֹאבֶה הָאִשָּׁה לָלֶכֶת אַחֲרַי אֶל־הָאָרֶץ הַזֹּאת הֶהָשֵׁב אָשִׁיב אֶת־בִּנְךָ אֶל־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר־יָצָאתָ מִשָּׁם׃

24:6 LAI TB, Tetapi Abraham berkata kepadanya: “Awas, jangan kaubawa anakku itu kembali ke sana.
KJV, And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again.

וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו אַבְרָהָם הִשָּׁמֶר לְךָ פֶּן־תָּשִׁיב אֶת־בְּנִי שָׁמָּה׃
Translit, VAYOMER ‘ELAV ‘AVRAHAM HISYAMER LEKHA PEN-TASYIV ‘ET-BENI SYAMAH

24:7 LAI TB, TUHAN, Allah yang empunya langit, yang telah memanggil aku dari rumah ayahku serta dari negeri sanak saudaraku, dan yang telah berfirman kepadaku, serta yang bersumpah kepadaku, demikian: kepada keturunanmulah akan Kuberikan negeri ini — Dialah juga akan mengutus malaikat-Nya berjalan di depanmu, sehingga engkau dapat mengambil seorang isteri dari sana untuk anakku.
KJV, The LORD God of heaven, which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.

24:8 LAI TB, Tetapi jika perempuan itu tidak mau mengikuti engkau, maka lepaslah engkau dari sumpahmu kepadaku ini; hanya saja, janganlah anakku itu kaubawa kembali ke sana.”
KJV, And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.

וְאִם־לֹא תֹאבֶה הָאִשָּׁה לָלֶכֶת אַחֲרֶיךָ וְנִקִּיתָ מִשְּׁבֻעָתִי זֹאת רַק אֶת־בְּנִי לֹא תָשֵׁב שָׁמָּה׃
Translit, VE’IM-LO TOVE HA’ISYAH LALEKHET ‘AKHAREIKHA VENIQITA MISYVU’ATI ZOT RAK ‘ET-BENI LO TASYEV SYAMAH

24:9 LAI TB, Lalu hamba itu meletakkan tangannya di bawah pangkal paha Abraham, tuannya, dan bersumpah kepadanya tentang hal itu.
KJV, And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter.

וַיָּשֶׂם הָעֶבֶד אֶת־יָדֹו תַּחַת יֶרֶךְ אַבְרָהָם אֲדֹנָיו וַיִּשָּׁבַע לֹו עַל־הַדָּבָר הַזֶּה׃
Translit, VAYASEM HA’EVED ‘ET-YADO TAKHAT YEREKH ‘AVRAHAM ‘ADONAV VAYISYAVA LO ‘AL-HADAVAR HAZEH

24:10 LAI TB, Kemudian hamba itu mengambil sepuluh ekor dari unta tuannya dan pergi dengan membawa berbagai-bagai barang berharga kepunyaan tuannya; demikianlah ia berangkat menuju Aram-Mesopotamia ke kota Nahor.
KJV, And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor.

וַיִּקַּח הָעֶבֶד עֲשָׂרָה גְמַלִּים מִגְּמַלֵּי אֲדֹנָיו וַיֵּלֶךְ וְכָל־טוּב אֲדֹנָיו בְּיָדֹו וַיָּקָם וַיֵּלֶךְ אֶל־אֲרַם נַהֲרַיִם אֶל־עִיר נָחֹור׃
Translit, VAYIQAKH HA’EVED ‘ASARAH GEMALIM MIGMALEY ‘ADONAV VAYELEKH VEKHOL-TUV ‘ADONAV BEYADO VAYAQAM VAYELEKH ‘EL-‘ARAM NAHARAYIM ‘EL-‘IR NAKHOR

24:11 LAI TB, Di sana disuruhnyalah unta itu berhenti di luar kota dekat suatu sumur, pada waktu petang hari, waktu perempuan-perempuan keluar untuk menimba air.
KJV, And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water.

וַיַּבְרֵךְ הַגְּמַלִּים מִחוּץ לָעִיר אֶל־בְּאֵר הַמָּיִם לְעֵת עֶרֶב לְעֵת צֵאת הַשֹּׁאֲבֹת׃
Translit, VAYAVREKH HAGEMALIM MIKHUTS LA’IR ‘EL-BE’ER HAMAYIM LE’ET ‘EREV LE’ET TSET HASYO’AVOT

24:12 LAI TB, Lalu berkatalah ia: “TUHAN, Allah tuanku Abraham, buatlah kiranya tercapai tujuanku pada hari ini, tunjukkanlah kasih setia-Mu kepada tuanku Abraham.
KJV, And he said O LORD God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.
Hebrew,
וַיֹּאמַר ׀ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲדֹנִי אַבְרָהָם הַקְרֵה־נָא לְפָנַי הַיֹּום וַעֲשֵׂה־חֶסֶד עִם אֲדֹנִי אַבְרָהָם׃
Translit, VAYOMAR YEHOVAH (baca: ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHEI ‘ADONI ‘AVRAHAM HAQEREH-NA LEFANAY HAYOM VA’ASEH-KHESED ‘IM ‘ADONI ‘AVRAHAM

24:13 LAI TB, Di sini aku berdiri di dekat mata air, dan anak-anak perempuan penduduk kota ini datang keluar untuk menimba air.
KJV, Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water:

הִנֵּה אָנֹכִי נִצָּב עַל־עֵין הַמָּיִם וּבְנֹות אַנְשֵׁי הָעִיר יֹצְאֹת לִשְׁאֹב מָיִם׃
Translit, HINEH ‘ANOKHI NITSAV ‘AL-‘EIN HAMAYIM UVENOT ‘ANSHEY HA’IR YOTSOT LISYOV MAYIM

24:14 LAI TB, Kiranya terjadilah begini: anak gadis, kepada siapa aku berkata: Tolong miringkan buyungmu itu, supaya aku minum, dan yang menjawab: Minumlah, dan unta-untamu juga akan kuberi minum — dialah kiranya yang Kautentukan bagi hamba-Mu, Ishak; maka dengan begitu akan kuketahui, bahwa Engkau telah menunjukkan kasih setia-Mu kepada tuanku itu.”
KJV, And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master.

וְהָיָה הַנַּעֲרָ אֲשֶׁר אֹמַר אֵלֶיהָ הַטִּי־נָא כַדֵּךְ וְאֶשְׁתֶּה וְאָמְרָה שְׁתֵה וְגַם־גְּמַלֶּיךָ אַשְׁקֶה אֹתָהּ הֹכַחְתָּ לְעַבְדְּךָ לְיִצְחָק וּבָהּ אֵדַע כִּי־עָשִׂיתָ חֶסֶד עִם־אֲדֹנִי׃
Translit, VEHAYAH HANA’ARA ‘ASYER ‘OMAR ‘ELEIHA HATI-NA KHADEKH VE’ESYTEH VE’AMRAH SYETEH VEGAM-GEMALEIKHA ‘ASYKE ‘OTAH HOKHAKHTA LE’AVDEKHA LEYITSKHAQ UVAH ‘EDA KI-‘ASITA KHESED ‘IM-‘ADONI

24:15 LAI TB, Sebelum ia selesai berkata, maka datanglah Ribka, yang lahir bagi Betuel, anak laki-laki Milka, isteri Nahor, saudara Abraham; buyungnya dibawanya di atas bahunya.
KJV, And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder.

וַיְהִי־הוּא טֶרֶם כִּלָּה לְדַבֵּר וְהִנֵּה רִבְקָה יֹצֵאת אֲשֶׁר יֻלְּדָה לִבְתוּאֵל בֶּן־מִלְכָּה אֵשֶׁת נָחֹור אֲחִי אַבְרָהָם וְכַדָּהּ עַל־שִׁכְמָהּ׃
Translit, VAYEHI-HU TEREM KILAH LEDABER VEHINEH RIVQAH YOTSET ‘ASYER YULDAH LIVTU’EL BEN-MILKAH ‘ESYET NAKHOR ‘AKHI ‘AVRAHAM VEKHADAH ‘AL-SYIKHMAH

24:16 LAI TB, Anak gadis itu sangat cantik parasnya, seorang perawan, belum pernah bersetubuh dengan laki-laki; ia turun ke mata air itu dan mengisi buyungnya, lalu kembali naik.
KJV, And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
Hebrew,
וְהַנַּעֲרָ טֹבַת מַרְאֶה מְאֹד בְּתוּלָה וְאִישׁ לֹא יְדָעָהּ וַתֵּרֶד הָעַיְנָה וַתְּמַלֵּא כַדָּהּ וַתָּעַל׃
Translit, VEHANA’ARA TOVAT MAREH ME’OD BETULAH VE’ISY LO YEDA’AH VATERED HA’AINAH VATEMALE KHADAH VATA’AL

24:17 LAI TB, Kemudian berlarilah hamba itu mendapatkannya serta berkata: “Tolong beri aku minum air sedikit dari buyungmu itu.”
KJV, And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher.
Hebrew,
וַיָּרָץ הָעֶבֶד לִקְרָאתָהּ וַיֹּאמֶר הַגְמִיאִינִי נָא מְעַט־מַיִם מִכַּדֵּךְ׃
Translit, VAYARATS HA’EVED LIQRATAH VAYOMER HAGEMI’INI NA ME’AT-MAYIM MIKADEKH

24:18 LAI TB, Jawabnya: “Minumlah, tuan,” maka segeralah diturunkannya buyungnya itu ke tangannya, serta diberinya dia minum.
KJV, And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink.

וַתֹּאמֶר שְׁתֵה אֲדֹנִי וַתְּמַהֵר וַתֹּרֶד כַּדָּהּ עַל־יָדָהּ וַתַּשְׁקֵהוּ׃
Translit, VATOMER SYETEH ‘ADONI VATEMAHER VATORED KADAH ‘AL-YADAH VATASYKEHU

24:19 LAI TB, Setelah ia selesai memberi hamba itu minum, berkatalah ia: “Baiklah untuk unta-untamu juga kutimba air, sampai semuanya puas minum.”
KJV, And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking.

וַתְּכַל לְהַשְׁקֹתֹו וַתֹּאמֶר גַּם לִגְמַלֶּיךָ אֶשְׁאָב עַד אִם־כִּלּוּ לִשְׁתֹּת׃
Translit, VATEKHAL LEHASYQOTO VATOMER GAM LIGMALEIKHA ESYAV ‘AD IM-KILU LISYTOT

24:20 LAI TB, Kemudian segeralah dituangnya air yang di buyungnya itu ke dalam palungan, lalu berlarilah ia sekali lagi ke sumur untuk menimba air dan ditimbanyalah untuk semua unta orang itu.
KJV, And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels.

וַתְּמַהֵר וַתְּעַר כַּדָּהּ אֶל־הַשֹּׁקֶת וַתָּרָץ עֹוד אֶל־הַבְּאֵר לִשְׁאֹב וַתִּשְׁאַב לְכָל־גְּמַלָּיו׃
Translit, VATEMAHER VATE’AR KADAH ‘EL-HASYOKET VATARATS ‘OD ‘EL-HABE’ER LISYOV VATISYAV LEKHOL-GEMALAV

24:21 LAI TB, Dan orang itu mengamat-amatinya dengan berdiam diri untuk mengetahui apakah TUHAN membuat perjalanannya berhasil atau tidak.
KJV, And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether the LORD had made his journey prosperous or not.
Hebrew,
וְהָאִישׁ מִשְׁתָּאֵה לָהּ מַחֲרִישׁ לָדַעַת הַהִצְלִיחַ יְהוָה דַּרְכֹּו אִם־לֹא׃
Translit, VEHAISY MISYTA’EH LAH MAKHARISY LADA’AT HAHITSLI’AKH YEHOVAH (baca: ‘Adonay) DARKO ‘IM-LO

24:22 LAI TB, Setelah unta-unta itu puas minum, maka orang itu mengambil anting-anting emas yang setengah syikal beratnya, dan sepasang gelang tangan yang sepuluh syikal emas beratnya,
KJV, And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold;

וַיְהִי כַּאֲשֶׁר כִּלּוּ הַגְּמַלִּים לִשְׁתֹּות וַיִּקַּח הָאִישׁ נֶזֶם זָהָב בֶּקַע מִשְׁקָלֹו וּשְׁנֵי צְמִידִים עַל־יָדֶיהָ עֲשָׂרָה זָהָב מִשְׁקָלָם׃
Translit, VAYEHI KA’ASYER KILU HAGEMALIM LISYTOT VAYIQAKH HAISY NEZEM ZAHAV BEQA MISHQALO USYENEY TSEMIDIM ‘AL-YADEIHA ‘ASARAH ZAHAV MISYKALAM

24:23 LAI TB, serta berkata: “Anak siapakah engkau? Baiklah katakan kepadaku! Adakah di rumah ayahmu tempat bermalam bagi kami?”
KJV, And said, Whose daughter art thou? tell me, I pray thee: is there room in thy father’s house for us to lodge in?
Hebrew,
וַיֹּאמֶר בַּת־מִי אַתְּ הַגִּידִי נָא לִי הֲיֵשׁ בֵּית־אָבִיךְ מָקֹום לָנוּ לָלִין׃
Translit, VAYOMER BAT-MI ‘AT HAGIDI NA LI HAYESY BEIT-‘AVIKH MAQOM LANU LALIN

24:24 LAI TB, Lalu jawabnya kepadanya: “Ayahku Betuel, anak Milka, yang melahirkannya bagi Nahor.”
KJV, And she said unto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, which she bare unto Nahor.

וַתֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו בַּת־בְּתוּאֵל אָנֹכִי בֶּן־מִלְכָּה אֲשֶׁר יָלְדָה לְנָחֹור׃
Translit, VATOMER ‘ELAV BAT-BETU’EL ‘ANOKHI BEN-MILKAH ‘ASYER YALDAH LENAKHOR

24:25 LAI TB, Lagi kata gadis itu: “Baik jerami, baik makanan unta banyak pada kami, tempat bermalam pun ada.”
KJV, She said moreover unto him, We have both straw and provender enough, and room to lodge in.

וַתֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו גַּם־תֶּבֶן גַּם־מִסְפֹּוא רַב עִמָּנוּ גַּם־מָקֹום לָלוּן׃
Translit, VATOMER ‘ELAV GAM-TEVEN GAM-MISPO RAV ‘IMANU GAM-MAQOM LALUN

24:26 LAI TB, Lalu berlututlah orang itu dan sujud menyembah TUHAN,
KJV, And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the LORD.

וַיִּקֹּד הָאִישׁ וַיִּשְׁתַּחוּ לַיהוָה׃
Translit, VAYIQOD HA’ISY VAYISYTAKHU LAYEHOVAH (baca : La’Adonay)

24:27 LAI TB, serta berkata: “Terpujilah TUHAN, Allah tuanku Abraham, yang tidak menarik kembali kasih-Nya dan setia-Nya dari tuanku itu; dan TUHAN telah menuntun aku di jalan ke rumah saudara-saudara tuanku ini!”
KJV, And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brethren.

וַיֹּאמֶר בָּרוּךְ יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲדֹנִי אַבְרָהָם אֲשֶׁר לֹא־עָזַב חַסְדֹּו וַאֲמִתֹּו מֵעִם אֲדֹנִי אָנֹכִי בַּדֶּרֶךְ נָחַנִי יְהוָה בֵּית אֲחֵי אֲדֹנִי׃
Translit, VAYOMER BARUKH YEHOVAH (baca: ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHEY ‘ADONI ‘AVRAHAM ‘ASYER LO-‘AZAV KHASDO VA’AMITO ME’IM ‘ADONI ‘ANOKHI BADEREKH NAKHANI YEHOVAH (baca: ‘Adonay) BEIT ‘AKHEI ‘ADONI

24:28 LAI TB, Berlarilah gadis itu pergi menceritakan kejadian itu ke rumah ibunya.
KJV, And the damsel ran, and told them of her mother’s house these things.

וַתָּרָץ הַנַּעֲרָ וַתַּגֵּד לְבֵית אִמָּהּ כַּדְּבָרִים הָאֵלֶּה׃
Translit, VATARATS HANA’ARA VATAGED LEVEIT ‘IMAH KADVARIM HA’ELEH

24:29 LAI TB, Ribka mempunyai saudara laki-laki, namanya Laban. Laban berlari ke luar mendapatkan orang itu, ke mata air tadi,
KJV, And Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban: and Laban ran out unto the man, unto the well.

וּלְרִבְקָה אָח וּשְׁמֹו לָבָן וַיָּרָץ לָבָן אֶל־הָאִישׁ הַחוּצָה אֶל־הָעָיִן׃

24:65 LAI TB, Katanya kepada hamba itu: “Siapakah laki-laki itu yang berjalan di padang ke arah kita?” Jawab hamba itu: “Dialah tuanku itu.” Lalu Ribka mengambil telekungnya dan bertelekunglah ia.
KJV, For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself.
