21:1 LAI TB, “Apabila di tanah yang diberikan TUHAN, Allahmu, kepadamu untuk menjadi milikmu, terdapat seorang yang mati terbunuh di padang, dengan tidak diketahui siapa yang membunuhnya,
KJV, If one be found slain in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee to possess it, lying in the field, and it be not known who hath slain him:
Hebrew,
כִּי־יִמָּצֵא חָלָל בָּאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לְךָ לְרִשְׁתָּהּ נֹפֵל בַּשָּׂדֶה לֹא נֹודַע מִי הִכָּהוּ׃
Translit, KI-YIMATSE KHALAL BA’ADAMAH ‘ASHER YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHEIKHA NOTEN LEKHA LERISH’TAH NOFEL BASADEH LO NODA MI HIKAHU

21:2 LAI TB, maka haruslah para tua-tuamu dan para hakimmu keluar mengukur jarak ke kota-kota yang di sekeliling orang yang terbunuh itu.
KJV, Then thy elders and thy judges shall come forth, and they shall measure unto the cities which are round about him that is slain:
Hebrew,
וְיָצְאוּ זְקֵנֶיךָ וְשֹׁפְטֶיךָ וּמָדְדוּ אֶל־הֶעָרִים אֲשֶׁר סְבִיבֹת הֶחָלָל׃
Translit, VEYATS’U ZEQENEIKHA VESHOF’TEIKHA UMAD’DU ‘EL-HE’ARIM ‘ASHER SEVIVOT HEKHALAL

21:3 LAI TB, Kota yang ternyata paling dekat dengan tempat orang yang terbunuh itu, para tua-tua kota itulah harus mengambil seekor lembu betina yang muda, yang belum pernah dipakai, yang belum pernah menghela dengan kuk.
KJV, And it shall be, that the city which is next unto the slain man, even the elders of that city shall take an heifer, which hath not been wrought with, and which hath not drawn in the yoke;
Hebrew,
וְהָיָה הָעִיר הַקְּרֹבָה אֶל־הֶחָלָל וְלָקְחוּ זִקְנֵי הָעִיר הַהִוא עֶגְלַת בָּקָר אֲשֶׁר לֹא־עֻבַּד בָּהּ אֲשֶׁר לֹא־מָשְׁכָה בְּעֹל׃
Translit, VEHAYAH HA’IR HAQEROVAH ‘EL-HEKHALAL VELAQ’KHU ZIQ’NEY HA’IR HAHIV ‘EG’LAT BAQAR ‘ASHER LO-‘UBAD BAH ‘ASHER LO-MASH’KHA BE’OL

21:4 LAI TB, Para tua-tua kota itu haruslah membawa lembu muda itu ke suatu lembah yang selalu berair dan yang belum pernah dikerjakan atau ditaburi, dan di sana di lembah itu haruslah mereka mematahkan batang leher lembu muda itu.
KJV, And the elders of that city shall bring down the heifer unto a rough valley, which is neither eared nor sown, and shall strike off the heifer’s neck there in the valley:

וְהֹורִדוּ זִקְנֵי הָעִיר הַהִוא אֶת־הָעֶגְלָה אֶל־נַחַל אֵיתָן אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יֵעָבֵד בֹּו וְלֹא יִזָּרֵעַ וְעָרְפוּ־שָׁם אֶת־הָעֶגְלָה בַּנָּחַל׃
Translit, VEHORIDU ZIQ’NEY HA’IR HAHIV ‘ET-HA’EG’LAH ‘EL-NAKHAL ‘EITAN ‘ASHER LO-YE’AVED BO VELO YIZARE’A VE’AR’FU-SHAM ‘ET-HA’EG’LAH BANAKHAL

21:5 LAI TB, Imam-imam bani Lewi haruslah tampil ke depan, sebab merekalah yang dipilih TUHAN, Allahmu, untuk melayani Dia dan untuk memberi berkat demi nama TUHAN; menurut putusan merekalah setiap perkara dan setiap hal luka-melukai harus diselesaikan.
KJV, And the priests the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried:
Hebrew,
וְנִגְּשׁוּ הַכֹּהֲנִים בְּנֵי לֵוִי כִּי בָם בָּחַר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ לְשָׁרְתֹו וּלְבָרֵךְ בְּשֵׁם יְהוָה וְעַל־פִּיהֶם יִהְיֶה כָּל־רִיב וְכָל־נָגַע׃
Translit, VENIG’SHU HAKOHANIM BENEY LEVI KI VAM BAKHAR YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHEIKHA LESHAR’TO ULEVAREKH BESHEM YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay) VE’AL-PIHEM YIH’YEH KOL-RIV VEKHOL-NAGA

21:6 LAI TB, Dan semua tua-tua dari kota yang paling dekat dengan tempat orang yang terbunuh itu, haruslah membasuh tangannya di atas lembu muda yang batang lehernya dipatahkan di lembah itu,
KJV, And all the elders of that city, that are next unto the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer that is beheaded in the valley:
Hebrew,
וְכֹל זִקְנֵי הָעִיר הַהִוא הַקְּרֹבִים אֶל־הֶחָלָל יִרְחֲצוּ אֶת־יְדֵיהֶם עַל־הָעֶגְלָה הָעֲרוּפָה בַנָּחַל׃
Translit, VEKHOL ZIQ’NEY HA’IR HAHIV HAQEROVIM ‘EL-HEKHALAL YIR’KHATSU ‘ET-YEDEIHEM ‘AL-HA’EG’LAH HA’ARUFAH VANAKHAL

21:7 LAI TB, dan mereka harus memberi pernyataan dengan mengatakan: Tangan kami tidak mencurahkan darah ini dan mata kami tidak melihatnya.
KJV, And they shall answer and say, Our hands have not shed this blood, neither have our eyes seen it.
Hebrew,
וְעָנוּ וְאָמְרוּ יָדֵינוּ לֹא [שָׁפְכָה כ] (שָׁפְכוּ ק) אֶת־הַדָּם הַזֶּה וְעֵינֵינוּ לֹא רָאוּ׃
Translit, VE’ANU VE’AM’RU YADEINU LO [SHAF’KHAH ketiv] (SHAF’KHU qere) ‘ET-HADAM HAZEH VE’EINEINU LO RA’U

21:8 LAI TB, Adakanlah pendamaian bagi umat-Mu Israel yang telah Kautebus itu, TUHAN, dan janganlah timpakan darah orang yang tidak bersalah ke tengah-tengah umat-Mu Israel. Maka karena darah itu telah diadakan pendamaian bagi mereka.
KJV, Be merciful, O LORD, unto thy people Israel, whom thou hast redeemed, and lay not innocent blood unto thy people of Israel’s charge. And the blood shall be forgiven them.
Hebrew,
כַּפֵּר לְעַמְּךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר־פָּדִיתָ יְהוָה וְאַל־תִּתֵּן דָּם נָקִי בְּקֶרֶב עַמְּךָ יִשְׂרָאֵל וְנִכַּפֵּר לָהֶם הַדָּם׃
Translit, KAPER LE’AM’KHA YIS’RA’EL ‘ASHER-PADITA YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay) VE’AL-TITEN DAM NAQI BEQEREV ‘AM’KHA YIS’RA’EL VENIKAPER LAHEM HADAM

21:9 LAI TB, Demikianlah engkau harus menghapuskan darah orang yang tidak bersalah itu dari tengah-tengahmu, sebab dengan demikian engkau melakukan apa yang benar di mata TUHAN.”
KJV, So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the LORD.
Hebrew,
וְאַתָּה תְּבַעֵר הַדָּם הַנָּקִי מִקִּרְבֶּךָ כִּי־תַעֲשֶׂה הַיָּשָׁר בְּעֵינֵי יְהוָה׃ ס
Translit, VE’ATAH TEVA’ER HADAM HANAQI MIQIR’BEKHA KI-TA’ASEH HAYASHAR BE’EINEY YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay)

21:10 LAI TB, “Apabila engkau keluar berperang melawan musuhmu, dan TUHAN, Allahmu, menyerahkan mereka ke dalam tanganmu dan engkau menjadikan mereka tawanan,
KJV, When thou goest forth to war against thine enemies, and the LORD thy God hath delivered them into thine hands, and thou hast taken them captive,
Hebrew,
כִּי־תֵצֵא לַמִּלְחָמָה עַל־אֹיְבֶיךָ וּנְתָנֹו יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בְּיָדֶךָ וְשָׁבִיתָ שִׁבְיֹו׃
Translit, KI-TETSE LAMIL’KHAMAH ‘AL-OIVEIKHA UNETANO YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay) ‘ELOHEIKHA BEYADEKHA VESHAVITA SHIV’YO

21:11 LAI TB, dan engkau melihat di antara tawanan itu seorang perempuan yang elok, sehingga hatimu mengingini dia dan engkau mau mengambil dia menjadi isterimu,
KJV, And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;
Hebrew,
וְרָאִיתָ בַּשִּׁבְיָה אֵשֶׁת יְפַת־תֹּאַר וְחָשַׁקְתָּ בָהּ וְלָקַחְתָּ לְךָ לְאִשָּׁה׃
Translit, VERA’ITA BASHIV’YA ‘ESHET YEFAT-TO’AR VEKHASHAQ’TA VAH VELAQAKH’TA LEKHA LE’ISHAH

21:12 LAI TB, maka haruslah engkau membawa dia ke dalam rumahmu. Perempuan itu harus mencukur rambutnya, memotong kukunya,
KJV, Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house; and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails;
Hebrew,
וַהֲבֵאתָהּ אֶל־תֹּוךְ בֵּיתֶךָ וְגִלְּחָה אֶת־רֹאשָׁהּ וְעָשְׂתָה אֶת־צִפָּרְנֶיהָ׃
Translit, VAHAVETA ‘EL-TOKH BEITEKHA VEGIL’KHA ‘ET-ROSHAH VE’AS’TAH ‘ET-TSIPAR’NEIHA

21:13 LAI TB, menanggalkan pakaian yang dipakainya pada waktu ditawan, dan tinggal di rumahmu untuk menangisi ibu bapanya sebulan lamanya. Sesudah demikian, bolehlah engkau menghampiri dia dan menjadi suaminya, sehingga ia menjadi isterimu.
KJV, And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.
Hebrew,
וְהֵסִירָה אֶת־שִׂמְלַת שִׁבְיָהּ מֵעָלֶיהָ וְיָשְׁבָה בְּבֵיתֶךָ וּבָכְתָה אֶת־אָבִיהָ וְאֶת־אִמָּהּ יֶרַח יָמִים וְאַחַר כֵּן תָּבֹוא אֵלֶיהָ וּבְעַלְתָּהּ וְהָיְתָה לְךָ לְאִשָּׁה׃
Translit, VEHESIRAH ‘ET-SIM’LAT SHIV’YAH ME’ALEIHA VEYASH’VAH BEVEITEKHA UVAKH’TAH ‘ET-‘AVIHA VE’ET-‘IMAH YERAKH YAMIM VE’AKHAR KEN TAVO ‘ELEIHA UVE’AL’TAH VEHAI’TAH LEKHA LE’ISHAH

21:14 LAI TB, Apabila engkau tidak suka lagi kepadanya, maka haruslah engkau membiarkan dia pergi sesuka hatinya; tidak boleh sekali-kali engkau menjual dia dengan bayaran uang; tidak boleh engkau memperlakukan dia sebagai budak, sebab engkau telah memaksa dia.”
KJV, And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not sell her at all for money, thou shalt not make merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.

וְהָיָה אִם־לֹא חָפַצְתָּ בָּהּ וְשִׁלַּחְתָּהּ לְנַפְשָׁהּ וּמָכֹר לֹא־תִמְכְּרֶנָּה בַּכָּסֶף לֹא־תִתְעַמֵּר בָּהּ תַּחַת אֲשֶׁר עִנִּיתָהּ׃ ס
Translit, VEHAYAH ‘IM-LO KHAFATS’TAH BAH VESHI’LAKH’TAH LENAF’SHAH UMAKHOR LO-TIM’KERENAH BAKASEF LO-TIT’AMER BA TAKHAT ‘ASHER ‘INITAH

21:15 LAI TB, “Apabila seorang mempunyai dua orang isteri, yang seorang dicintai dan yang lain tidak dicintainya, dan mereka melahirkan anak-anak lelaki baginya, baik isteri yang dicintai maupun isteri yang tidak dicintai, dan anak sulung adalah dari isteri yang tidak dicintai,
KJV, If a man have two wives, one beloved, and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated; and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated:
Hebrew,
כִּי־תִהְיֶיןָ לְאִישׁ שְׁתֵּי נָשִׁים הָאַחַת אֲהוּבָה וְהָאַחַת שְׂנוּאָה וְיָלְדוּ־לֹו בָנִים הָאֲהוּבָה וְהַשְּׂנוּאָה וְהָיָה הַבֵּן הַבְּכֹור לַשְּׂנִיאָה׃

21:16 LAI TB, maka pada waktu ia membagi warisan harta kepunyaannya kepada anak-anaknya itu, tidaklah boleh ia memberikan bagian anak sulung kepada anak dari isteri yang dicintai merugikan anak dari isteri yang tidak dicintai, yang adalah anak sulung.
KJV, Then it shall be, when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn:

וְהָיָה בְּיֹום הַנְחִילֹו אֶת־בָּנָיו אֵת אֲשֶׁר־יִהְיֶה לֹו לֹא יוּכַל לְבַכֵּר אֶת־בֶּן־הָאֲהוּבָה עַל־פְּנֵי בֶן־הַשְּׂנוּאָה הַבְּכֹר׃

21:17 LAI TB, Tetapi ia harus mengakui anak yang sulung, anak dari isteri yang tidak dicintai itu, dengan memberikan kepadanya dua bagian dari segala kepunyaannya, sebab dialah kegagahannya yang pertama-tama: dialah yang empunya hak kesulungan.”
KJV, But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his.

כִּי אֶת־הַבְּכֹר בֶּן־הַשְּׂנוּאָה יַכִּיר לָתֶת לֹו פִּי שְׁנַיִם בְּכֹל אֲשֶׁר־יִמָּצֵא לֹו כִּי־הוּא רֵאשִׁית אֹנֹו לֹו מִשְׁפַּט הַבְּכֹרָה׃ ס

21:18 LAI TB, “Apabila seseorang mempunyai anak laki-laki yang degil dan membangkang, yang tidak mau mendengarkan perkataan ayahnya dan ibunya, dan walaupun mereka menghajar dia, tidak juga ia mendengarkan mereka,
KJV, If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:

כִּי־יִהְיֶה לְאִישׁ בֵּן סֹורֵר וּמֹורֶה אֵינֶנּוּ שֹׁמֵעַ בְּקֹול אָבִיו וּבְקֹול אִמֹּו וְיִסְּרוּ אֹתֹו וְלֹא יִשְׁמַע אֲלֵיהֶם׃

21:19 LAI TB, maka haruslah ayahnya dan ibunya memegang dia dan membawa dia keluar kepada para tua-tua kotanya di pintu gerbang tempat kediamannya,
KJV, Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;

וְתָפְשׂוּ בֹו אָבִיו וְאִמֹּו וְהֹוצִיאוּ אֹתֹו אֶל־זִקְנֵי עִירֹו וְאֶל־שַׁעַר מְקֹמֹו׃

21:20 LAI TB, dan harus berkata kepada para tua-tua kotanya: Anak kami ini degil dan membangkang, ia tidak mau mendengarkan perkataan kami, ia seorang pelahap dan peminum.
KJV, And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.

וְאָמְרוּ אֶל־זִקְנֵי עִירֹו בְּנֵנוּ זֶה סֹורֵר וּמֹרֶה אֵינֶנּוּ שֹׁמֵעַ בְּקֹלֵנוּ זֹולֵל וְסֹבֵא׃
Translit interlinear, VE’AM’RU {dan mereka berkata} ‘EL- {pada} ZIQ’NEY {tua-tua dari} ‘IRO {kota itu} BENENU {bahwa putera kami} ZEH {ini} SORER {dia degil} UMOREH {dan dia membangkang} ‘EINENU {tiudak mau} SHOME’A {mendengar} BEQOLENU {pada suara kami} ZOLEL {seorang pelahap} VESOVE {dan peminum}

21:21 LAI TB, Maka haruslah semua orang sekotanya melempari anak itu dengan batu, sehingga ia mati. Demikianlah harus kauhapuskan yang jahat itu dari tengah-tengahmu; dan seluruh orang Israel akan mendengar dan menjadi takut.”
KJV, And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

וּרְגָמֻהוּ כָּל־אַנְשֵׁי עִירֹו בָאֲבָנִים וָמֵת וּבִעַרְתָּ הָרָע מִקִּרְבֶּךָ וְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל יִשְׁמְעוּ וְיִרָאוּ׃ ס

21:22 LAI TB, “Apabila seseorang berbuat dosa yang sepadan dengan hukuman mati, lalu ia dihukum mati, kemudian kaugantung dia pada sebuah tiang,
KJV, And if a man have committed a sin worthy of death, and he be to be put to death, and thou hang him on a tree:
Hebrew,
וְכִי־יִהְיֶה בְאִישׁ חֵטְא מִשְׁפַּט־מָוֶת וְהוּמָת וְתָלִיתָ אֹתֹו עַל־עֵץ׃
Translit, VEKHI-YIH’YEH VE’ISH KHET MISH’PAT-MAVET VEHUMAT VETALITA ‘OTO ‘AL-‘ETS

21:23 LAI TB, maka janganlah mayatnya dibiarkan semalam-malaman pada tiang itu, tetapi haruslah engkau menguburkan dia pada hari itu juga, sebab seorang yang digantung terkutuk oleh Allah; janganlah engkau menajiskan tanah yang diberikan TUHAN, Allahmu, kepadamu menjadi milik pusakamu.”
KJV, His body shall not remain all night upon the tree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
Hebrew,
לֹא־תָלִין נִבְלָתֹו עַל־הָעֵץ כִּי־קָבֹור תִּקְבְּרֶנּוּ בַּיֹּום הַהוּא כִּי־קִלְלַת אֱלֹהִים תָּלוּי וְלֹא תְטַמֵּא אֶת־אַדְמָתְךָ אֲשֶׁר יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ נֹתֵן לְךָ נַחֲלָה׃ ס
