BILANGAN PASAL 23

23:1 LAI TB, Lalu berkatalah Bileam kepada Balak: “Dirikanlah bagiku di sini tujuh mezbah dan siapkanlah bagiku di sini tujuh ekor lembu jantan dan tujuh ekor domba jantan.”
KJV, And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven oxen and seven rams.
Hebrew,
וַיֹּאמֶר בִּלְעָם אֶל־בָּלָק בְּנֵה־לִי בָזֶה שִׁבְעָה מִזְבְּחֹת וְהָכֵן לִי בָּזֶה שִׁבְעָה פָרִים וְשִׁבְעָה אֵילִים׃
Translit, VAYOMER BIL’AM ‘EL-BALAQ BENEH-LI VAZEH SYIVAH MIZBEKHOT VEHAKHEN LI BAZEH SYIVAH FARIM VESYIVAH ‘EILIM

23:2 LAI TB, Balak melakukan seperti yang dikatakan Bileam, maka Balak dan Bileam mempersembahkan seekor lembu jantan dan seekor domba jantan di atas setiap mezbah itu.
KJV, And Balak did as Balaam had spoken; and Balak and Balaam offered on every altar a bullock and a ram.
Hebrew,
וַיַּעַשׂ בָּלָק כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר בִּלְעָם וַיַּעַל בָּלָק וּבִלְעָם פָּר וָאַיִל בַּמִּזְבֵּחַ׃
Translit, VAYA’AS BALAQ KA’ASYER DIBER BIL’AM VAYA’AL BALAQ UVIL’AM PAR VA’AYIL BAMIZBE’AKH

23:3 LAI TB, Sesudah itu berkatalah Bileam kepada Balak: “Berdirilah di samping korban bakaranmu, tetapi aku ini hendak pergi; mungkin TUHAN akan datang menemui aku, dan perkataan apapun yang dinyatakan-Nya kepadaku, akan kuberitahukan kepadamu.” Lalu pergilah ia ke atas sebuah bukit yang gundul.
KJV, And Balaam said unto Balak, Stand by thy burnt offering, and I will go: peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: and whatsoever he sheweth me I will tell thee. And he went to an high place.

וַיֹּאמֶר בִּלְעָם לְבָלָק הִתְיַצֵּב עַל־עֹלָתֶךָ וְאֵלְכָה אוּלַי יִקָּרֵה יְהוָה לִקְרָאתִי וּדְבַר מַה־יַּרְאֵנִי וְהִגַּדְתִּי לָךְ וַיֵּלֶךְ שֶׁפִי׃
Translit, VAYOMER BIL’AM LEVALAQ HITYATSEV ‘AL-‘OLATEKHA VE’ELKHA ULAY YIQAREH YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay) LIQRATI UDEVAR MA-YAR’ENI VEHIGADTI LAKH VAYELEKH SYEFI

23:4 LAI TB, Maka Allah menemui Bileam, lalu Bileam berkata kepada-Nya: “Ketujuh mezbah itu telah kuatur, dan kupersembahkan seekor lembu jantan dan seekor domba jantan di atas setiap mezbah.”
KJV, And God met Balaam: and he said unto him, I have prepared seven altars, and I have offered upon every altar a bullock and a ram.
Hebrew,
וַיִּקָּר אֱלֹהִים אֶל־בִּלְעָם וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו אֶת־שִׁבְעַת הַמִּזְבְּחֹת עָרַכְתִּי וָאַעַל פָּר וָאַיִל בַּמִּזְבֵּחַ׃
Translit, VAYIQAR ‘ELOHIM ‘EL-BIL’AM VAYOMER ‘ELAV ‘ET-SYIVAT HAMIZBEKHOT ‘ARAKHTI VA’A’AL PAR VA’AYIL BAMIZBE’AKH

23:5 LAI TB, Kemudian TUHAN menaruh perkataan ke dalam mulut Bileam dan berfirman: “Kembalilah kepada Balak dan katakanlah demikian.”
KJV, And the LORD put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
Hebrew,
וַיָּשֶׂם יְהוָה דָּבָר בְּפִי בִלְעָם וַיֹּאמֶר שׁוּב אֶל־בָּלָק וְכֹה תְדַבֵּר׃
Translit, VAYASEM YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay) DAVAR BEFI VIL’AM VAYOMER SYUV ‘EL-BALAQ VEKHO TEDABER

23:6 LAI TB, Ketika ia kembali, maka Balak masih berdiri di situ di samping korban bakarannya, bersama dengan semua pemuka Moab.
KJV, And he returned unto him, and, lo, he stood by his burnt sacrifice, he, and all the princes of Moab.

וַיָּשָׁב אֵלָיו וְהִנֵּה נִצָּב עַל־עֹלָתֹו הוּא וְכָל־שָׂרֵי מֹואָב׃
Translit, VAYASYAV ‘ELAV VEHINEH NITSAV ‘AL-‘OLATO HU VEKHAL-SAREY MO’AV

23:7 LAI TB, Lalu Bileam mengucapkan sanjaknya, katanya: “Dari Aram aku disuruh datang oleh Balak, raja Moab, dari gunung-gunung sebelah timur: Datanglah, katanya, kutuklah bagiku Yakub, dan datanglah, kutuklah Israel.
KJV, And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, defy Israel.

וַיִּשָּׂא מְשָׁלֹו וַיֹּאמַר מִן־אֲרָם יַנְחֵנִי בָלָק מֶלֶךְ־מֹואָב מֵהַרְרֵי־קֶדֶם לְכָה אָרָה־לִּי יַעֲקֹב וּלְכָה זֹעֲמָה יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
Translit, VAYISA MESYALO VAYOMAR MIN-‘ARAM YANKHENI VALAQ MELEKH-MO’AV MEHARREY-QEDEM LEKHA ‘ARA-LI YA’AQOV ULEKHA ZO’AMAH YISRA’EL

23:8 LAI TB, Bagaimanakah aku menyerapah yang tidak diserapah Allah? Bagaimanakah aku mengutuk yang tidak dikutuk TUHAN?
KJV, How shall I curse, whom God hath not cursed? or how shall I defy, whom the LORD hath not defied?
Hebrew,
מָה אֶקֹּב לֹא קַבֹּה אֵל וּמָה אֶזְעֹם לֹא זָעַם יְהוָה׃
Translit, MAH ‘EQOV LO QABOH ‘EL UMAH ‘EZOM LO’ ZA’AM YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay)

23:9 LAI TB, Sebab dari puncak gunung-gunung batu aku melihat mereka, dari bukit-bukit aku memandang mereka. Lihat, suatu bangsa yang diam tersendiri dan tidak mau dihitung di antara bangsa-bangsa kafir.
KJV, For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.
Hebrew,
כִּי־מֵרֹאשׁ צֻרִים אֶרְאֶנּוּ וּמִגְּבָעֹות אֲשׁוּרֶנּוּ הֶן־עָם לְבָדָד יִשְׁכֹּן וּבַגֹּויִם לֹא יִתְחַשָּׁב׃
Translit, KI-MEROSY TSURIM ‘ERENU UMIGVAOT ‘ASYURENU HEN-‘AM LEVADAD YISYKON UVAGOYIM LO YITKHASYAV

23:10 LAI TB, Siapakah yang menghitung debu Yakub dan siapakah yang membilang bondongan-bondongan Israel? Sekiranya aku mati seperti matinya orang-orang jujur dan sekiranya ajalku seperti ajal mereka!”
KJV, Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!
Hebrew,
מִי מָנָה עֲפַר יַעֲקֹב וּמִסְפָּר אֶת־רֹבַע יִשְׂרָאֵל תָּמֹת נַפְשִׁי מֹות יְשָׁרִים וּתְהִי אַחֲרִיתִי כָּמֹהוּ׃
Translit, MI MANAH ‘AFAR YA’AQOV UMISPAR ‘ET-ROVA YISRA’EL TAMOT NAFSYI MOT YESYARIM UTEHI ‘AKHARITI KAMOHU

23:11 LAI TB, Lalu berkatalah Balak kepada Bileam: “Apakah yang kaulakukan kepadaku ini? Untuk menyerapah musuhkulah aku menjemput engkau, tetapi sebaliknya engkau memberkati mereka.”
KJV, And Balak said unto Balaam, What hast thou done unto me? I took thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast blessed them altogether.
Hebrew,
וַיֹּאמֶר בָּלָק אֶל־בִּלְעָם מֶה עָשִׂיתָ לִי לָקֹב אֹיְבַי לְקַחְתִּיךָ וְהִנֵּה בֵּרַכְתָּ בָרֵךְ׃
Translit, VAYOMER BALAQ ‘EL-BIL’AM MEH ‘ASITA LI LAQOV ‘OIVAY LEQAKHTIKHA VEHINEH BERAKHTA VAREKH

23:12 LAI TB, Tetapi ia menjawab: “Bukankah aku harus berawas-awas, supaya mengatakan apa yang ditaruh TUHAN ke dalam mulutku?”
KJV, And he answered and said, Must I not take heed to speak that which the LORD hath put in my mouth?
Hebrew,
וַיַּעַן וַיֹּאמַר הֲלֹא אֵת אֲשֶׁר יָשִׂים יְהוָה בְּפִי אֹתֹו אֶשְׁמֹר לְדַבֵּר׃
Translit, VAYA’AN VAYOMAR HALO ‘ET ‘ASYER YASIM YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay) BEFI ‘OTO ‘ESYMOR LEDABER

23:13 LAI TB, Lalu Balak berkata kepadanya: “Baiklah pergi bersama-sama dengan aku ke tempat lain, dan dari sana engkau dapat melihat bangsa itu; engkau akan melihat hanya bagiannya yang paling ujung, tetapi seluruhnya tidak akan kaulihat; serapahlah mereka dari situ bagiku.”
KJV, And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
Hebrew,
וַיֹּאמֶר אֵלָיו בָּלָק [לְךָ־ כ] (לְכָה־נָּא ק) אִתִּי אֶל־מָקֹום אַחֵר אֲשֶׁר תִּרְאֶנּוּ מִשָּׁם אֶפֶס קָצֵהוּ תִרְאֶה וְכֻלֹּו לֹא תִרְאֶה וְקָבְנֹו־לִי מִשָּׁם׃
Translit, VAYOMER ‘ELAV BALAQ LEKHA-NA ‘ITI ‘EL-MAQOM ‘AKHER ‘ASYER TIRENU MISYAM ‘EFES QATSEHU TIR’EH VEKHU.LO LO TIR’EH VEQAVNO-LI MISYAM

23:14 LAI TB, Lalu dibawanyalah dia ke Padang Pengintai, ke puncak gunung Pisga; ia mendirikan tujuh mezbah dan mempersembahkan seekor lembu jantan dan seekor domba jantan di atas setiap mezbah itu.
KJV, And he brought him into the field of Zophim, to the top of Pisgah, and built seven altars, and offered a bullock and a ram on every altar.

וַיִּקָּחֵהוּ שְׂדֵה צֹפִים אֶל־רֹאשׁ הַפִּסְגָּה וַיִּבֶן שִׁבְעָה מִזְבְּחֹת וַיַּעַל פָּר וָאַיִל בַּמִּזְבֵּחַ׃
Translit, VAYIQAKHEHU SEDEH TSOFIM ‘EL-ROSY HAPISGA VAYIVEN SYIVAH MIZBEKHOT VAYA’AL PAR VA’AYIL BAMIZBE’AKH

23:15 LAI TB, Kemudian berkatalah ia kepada Balak: “Berdirilah di sini di samping korban bakaranmu, sedang aku hendak bertemu dengan TUHAN di situ.”
KJV, And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the LORD yonder.

וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל־בָּלָק הִתְיַצֵּב כֹּה עַל־עֹלָתֶךָ וְאָנֹכִי אִקָּרֶה כֹּה׃
Translit, VAYOMER ‘EL-BALAQ HITYATSEV KO ‘AL-‘OLATEKHA VE’ANOKHI ‘IQAREH KOH

23:16 LAI TB, Lalu TUHAN menemui Bileam dan menaruh perkataan ke dalam mulutnya, dan berfirman: “Kembalilah kepada Balak dan katakanlah demikian.”
KJV, And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.

וַיִּקָּר יְהוָה אֶל־בִּלְעָם וַיָּשֶׂם דָּבָר בְּפִיו וַיֹּאמֶר שׁוּב אֶל־בָּלָק וְכֹה תְדַבֵּר׃

23:17 LAI TB, Ketika ia sampai kepadanya, Balak masih berdiri di samping korban bakarannya bersama-sama dengan pemuka-pemuka Moab. Berkatalah Balak kepadanya: “Apakah yang difirmankan TUHAN?”
KJV, And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?

וַיָּבֹא אֵלָיו וְהִנֹּו נִצָּב עַל־עֹלָתֹו וְשָׂרֵי מֹואָב אִתֹּו וַיֹּאמֶר לֹו בָּלָק מַה־דִּבֶּר יְהוָה׃
Translit, VAYAVO ‘ELAV VEHINO NITSAV ‘AL-‘OLATO VESAREY MO’AV ‘ITO VAYOMER LO BALAQ MAH-DIBER YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay)

23:18 LAI TB, Lalu diucapkannyalah sanjaknya, katanya: “Bangunlah, hai Balak, dan dengarlah; pasanglah telingamu mendengarkan aku, ya anak Zipor.
KJV, And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:

וַיִּשָּׂא מְשָׁלֹו וַיֹּאמַר קוּם בָּלָק וּשֲׁמָע הַאֲזִינָה עָדַי בְּנֹו צִפֹּר׃
Translit, VAYISA MESYALO VAYOMAR QUM BALAQ USYEMA HA’AZINAH ‘ADAY BENO TSIPOR

23:19 LAI TB, Allah bukanlah manusia, sehingga Ia berdusta bukan anak manusia, sehingga Ia menyesal. Masakan Ia berfirman dan tidak melakukannya, atau berbicara dan tidak menepatinya?
KJV, God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

לֹא אִישׁ אֵל וִיכַזֵּב וּבֶן־אָדָם וְיִתְנֶחָם הַהוּא אָמַר וְלֹא יַעֲשֶׂה וְדִבֶּר וְלֹא יְקִימֶנָּה׃

23:20 LAI TB, Ketahuilah, aku mendapat perintah untuk memberkati, dan apabila Dia memberkati, maka aku tidak dapat membalikkannya.
KJV, Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

הִנֵּה בָרֵךְ לָקָחְתִּי וּבֵרֵךְ וְלֹא אֲשִׁיבֶנָּה׃

23:21 LAI TB, Tidak ada ditengok kepincangan di antara keturunan Yakub, dan tidak ada dilihat kesukaran di antara orang Israel. TUHAN, Allah mereka, menyertai mereka, dan sorak-sorak karena Raja ada di antara mereka.
KJV, He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

לֹא־הִבִּיט אָוֶן בְּיַעֲקֹב וְלֹא־רָאָה עָמָל בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל יְהוָה אֱלֹהָיו עִמֹּו וּתְרוּעַת מֶלֶךְ בֹּו׃

23:22 LAI TB, Allah, yang membawa mereka keluar dari Mesir, adalah bagi mereka seperti tanduk kekuatan lembu hutan,
KJV, God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn.

אֵל מֹוצִיאָם מִמִּצְרָיִם כְּתֹועֲפֹת רְאֵם לֹו׃
Translit, ‘EL MOTSI’AM MIMITSRAYIM KETO’AFOT RE’EM LO

23:23 LAI TB, sebab tidak ada mantera yang mempan terhadap Yakub, ataupun tenungan yang mempan terhadap Israel. Pada waktunya akan dikatakan kepada Yakub, begitu juga kepada Israel, keajaiban yang diperbuat Allah:
KJV, Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!
Hebrew,
כִּי לֹא־נַחַשׁ בְּיַעֲקֹב וְלֹא־קֶסֶם בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל כָּעֵת יֵאָמֵר לְיַעֲקֹב וּלְיִשְׂרָאֵל מַה־פָּעַל אֵל׃
Translit, KI LO-NAKHASH BEYA’AQOV VELO-QESEM BEYISRA’EL KA’ET YE’AMER LEYA’AQOV ULEYISRA’EL MAH-PA’AL ‘EL

23:24 LAI TB, Lihat, suatu bangsa, yang bangkit seperti singa betina, dan yang berdiri tegak seperti singa jantan, yang tidak membaringkan dirinya, sebelum ia memakan mangsanya dan meminum darah dari yang mati dibunuhnya.”
KJV, Behold, the people shall rise up as a great lion, and lift up himself as a young lion: he shall not lie down until he eat of the prey, and drink the blood of the slain.
Hebrew,
הֶן־עָם כְּלָבִיא יָקוּם וְכַאֲרִי יִתְנַשָּׂא לֹא יִשְׁכַּב עַד־יֹאכַל טֶרֶף וְדַם־חֲלָלִים יִשְׁתֶּה׃
Translit, HEN-‘AM KELAVI YAQUM VEKHA’ARI YITNASA LO’ YISYKAV ‘AD-YOKHAL TEREF VEDAM-KHALALIM YISYTEH

23:25 LAI TB, Lalu berkatalah Balak kepada Bileam: “Jika sekali-kali tidak mau engkau menyerapah mereka, janganlah sekali-kali memberkatinya.”
KJV, And Balak said unto Balaam, Neither curse them at all, nor bless them at all.

וַיֹּאמֶר בָּלָק אֶל־בִּלְעָם גַּם־קֹב לֹא תִקֳּבֶנּוּ גַּם־בָּרֵךְ לֹא תְבָרֲכֶנּוּ׃
Translit, VAYOMER BALAQ ‘EL-BIL’AM GAM-QOV LO TIQOVENU GAM-BAREKH LO TEVARAKHENU

23:26 LAI TB, Tetapi Bileam menjawab Balak: “Bukankah telah kukatakan kepadamu: Segala yang akan difirmankan TUHAN, itulah yang akan kulakukan.”
KJV, But Balaam answered and said unto Balak, Told not I thee, saying, All that the LORD speaketh, that I must do?

וַיַּעַן בִּלְעָם וַיֹּאמֶר אֶל־בָּלָק הֲלֹא דִּבַּרְתִּי אֵלֶיךָ לֵאמֹר כֹּל אֲשֶׁר־יְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֹתֹו אֶעֱשֶׂה׃
Translit, VAYA’AN BIL’AM VAYOMER ‘EL-BALAQ HALO DIBARTI ‘ELEIKHA LEMOR KOL ‘ASHER-YEDABER YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay) ‘OTO ‘E’ESEH

23:27 LAI TB, Kemudian berkatalah Balak kepada Bileam: “Marilah aku akan membawa engkau ke tempat lain; mungkin benar di mata Allah bahwa engkau menyerapah mereka bagiku dari tempat itu.”
KJV, And Balak said unto Balaam, Come, I pray thee, I will bring thee unto another place; peradventure it will please God that thou mayest curse me them from thence.
Hebrew,
וַיֹּאמֶר בָּלָק אֶל־בִּלְעָם לְכָה־נָּא אֶקָּחֲךָ אֶל־מָקֹום אַחֵר אוּלַי יִישַׁר בְּעֵינֵי הָאֱלֹהִים וְקַבֹּתֹו לִי מִשָּׁם׃
Translit, VAYOMER BALAQ ‘EL-BIL’AM LEKHAH-NA ‘EQAKHAKHA ‘EL-MAQOM ‘AKHER ‘ULAY YIYOSYAR BE’EINEI HA’ELOHIM VEQABOTO LI MISYAM

23:28 LAI TB, Lalu Balak membawa Bileam ke puncak gunung Peor, yang menghadap Padang Belantara.
KJV, And Balak brought Balaam unto the top of Peor, that looketh toward Jeshimon.

וַיִּקַּח בָּלָק אֶת־בִּלְעָם רֹאשׁ הַפְּעֹור הַנִּשְׁקָף עַל־פְּנֵי הַיְשִׁימֹן׃
Translit, VAYIQAKH BALAQ ‘ET-BIL’AM ROSY HAPE’OR HANISYQAF ‘AL-PENEY HAYESYIMON

23:29 LAI TB, Berkatalah Bileam kepada Balak: “Dirikanlah bagiku di sini tujuh mezbah dan siapkanlah di sini bagiku tujuh ekor lembu jantan dan tujuh ekor domba jantan.”
KJV, And Balaam said unto Balak, Build me here seven altars, and prepare me here seven bullocks and seven rams.
