25:1 LAI TB, Sementara Israel tinggal di Sitim, mulailah bangsa itu berzinah dengan perempuan-perempuan Moab.
KJV, And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.

וַיֵּשֶׁב יִשְׂרָאֵל בַּשִּׁטִּים וַיָּחֶל הָעָם לִזְנֹות אֶל־בְּנֹות מֹואָב׃
Translit, VAYESYEV YISRA’EL BASYITIM VAYAKHEL HA’AM LIZNOT ‘EL-BENOT MO’AV
25:2 LAI TB, Perempuan-perempuan ini mengajak bangsa itu ke korban sembelihan bagi allah mereka, lalu bangsa itu turut makan dari korban itu dan menyembah allah orang-orang itu.
KJV, And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.

וַתִּקְרֶאןָ לָעָם לְזִבְחֵי אֱלֹהֵיהֶן וַיֹּאכַל הָעָם וַיִּשְׁתַּחֲוּוּ לֵאלֹהֵיהֶן׃
Translit, VATIQRENA LA’AM LEZIVKHEY ‘ELOHEIHEN VAYOKHAL HA’AM VAYISYTAKHAVU LELOHEIHEN
25:3 LAI TB, Ketika Israel berpasangan dengan Baal-Peor, bangkitlah murka TUHAN terhadap Israel;
KJV, And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.

וַיִּצָּמֶד יִשְׂרָאֵל לְבַעַל פְּעֹור וַיִּחַר־אַף יְהוָה בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל׃
Translit, VAYITSAMED YISRA’EL LEVA’AL PE’OR VAYIKHAR-‘AF YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay) BEYISRA’EL
25:4 LAI TB, lalu berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: “Tangkaplah semua orang yang mengepalai bangsa itu dan gantunglah mereka di hadapan TUHAN di tempat terang, supaya murka TUHAN yang bernyala-nyala itu surut dari pada Israel.”
KJV, And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

וַיֹּאמֶר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה קַח אֶת־כָּל־רָאשֵׁי הָעָם וְהֹוקַע אֹותָם לַיהוָה נֶגֶד הַשָּׁמֶשׁ וְיָשֹׁב חֲרֹון אַף־יְהוָה מִיִּשְׂרָאֵל׃

25:5 LAI TB, Lalu berkatalah Musa kepada hakim-hakim Israel: “Baiklah masing-masing kamu membunuh orang-orangnya yang telah berpasangan dengan Baal-Peor.”
KJV, And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.
Hebrew,
וַיֹּאמֶר מֹשֶׁה אֶל־שֹׁפְטֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הִרְגוּ אִישׁ אֲנָשָׁיו הַנִּצְמָדִים לְבַעַל פְּעֹור׃
Translit, VAYOMER MOSYEH ‘EL-SYOFTEY YISRA’EL HIRGU ‘ISY ‘ANASYAV HANITSMADIM LEVA’AL PE’OR
25:6 LAI TB, Kebetulan datanglah salah seorang Israel membawa seorang perempuan Midian kepada sanak saudaranya dengan dilihat Musa dan segenap umat Israel yang sedang bertangis-tangisan di depan pintu Kemah Pertemuan.
KJV, And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

וְהִנֵּה אִישׁ מִבְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל בָּא וַיַּקְרֵב אֶל־אֶחָיו אֶת־הַמִּדְיָנִית לְעֵינֵי מֹשֶׁה וּלְעֵינֵי כָּל־עֲדַת בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל וְהֵמָּה בֹכִים פֶּתַח אֹהֶל מֹועֵד׃
Translit, VEHINEH ‘ISY MIBNEY YISRA’EL BA VAYAQREV ‘EL-‘EKHAV ‘ET-HAMIDYANIT LE’EINEY MOSYEH ULE’EINEY KOL-‘ADAT BENEY-YISRA’EL VEHEMAH VOKHIM PETAKH ‘OHEL MO’ED
25:7 LAI TB, Ketika hal itu dilihat oleh Pinehas, anak Eleazar, anak imam Harun, bangunlah ia dari tengah-tengah umat itu dan mengambil sebuah tombak di tangannya,
KJV, And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;

וַיַּרְא פִּינְחָס בֶּן־אֶלְעָזָר בֶּן־אַהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֵן וַיָּקָם מִתֹּוךְ הָעֵדָה וַיִּקַּח רֹמַח בְּיָדֹו׃
Translit, VAYAR PINKHAS BEN-‘EL’AZAR BEN-‘AHARON HAKOHEN VAYAQAM MITOKH HA’EDAH VAYIQAKH ROMAKH BEYADO
25:8 LAI TB, mengejar orang Israel itu sampai ke ruang tengah, dan menikam mereka berdua, yakni orang Israel dan perempuan itu, pada perutnya. Maka berhentilah tulah itu menimpa orang Israel.
KJV, And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.

וַיָּבֹא אַחַר אִישׁ־יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶל־הַקֻּבָּה וַיִּדְקֹר אֶת־שְׁנֵיהֶם אֵת אִישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל וְאֶת־הָאִשָּׁה אֶל־קֳבָתָהּ וַתֵּעָצַר הַמַּגֵּפָה מֵעַל בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
Translit, VAYAVO ‘AKHAR ‘ISY-YISRA’EL ‘EL-HAQUBAH VAYIDQOR ‘ET-SYENEIHEM ‘ET ‘ISY YISRA’EL VE’ET-HA’ISYAH ‘EL-KOVATA VATE’ATSAR HAMAGEFAH ME’AL BENEY YISRA’EL
25:9 LAI TB, Orang yang mati karena tulah itu ada dua puluh empat ribu orang banyaknya.
KJV, And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.

וַיִּהְיוּ הַמֵּתִים בַּמַּגֵּפָה אַרְבָּעָה וְעֶשְׂרִים אָלֶף׃ פ

25:10 LAI TB, TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa:

וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר׃
Translit, VAYEDABER YEHOVAH (dibaca: ‘Adonay) ‘EL-MOSYEH LEMOR
25:11 LAI TB, Pinehas, anak Eleazar, anak imam Harun, telah menyurutkan murka-Ku dari pada orang Israel, oleh karena ia begitu giat membela kehormatan-Ku di tengah-tengah mereka, sehingga tidaklah Kuhabisi orang Israel dalam cemburu-Ku.
KJV, Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.

פִּינְחָס בֶּן־אֶלְעָזָר בֶּן־אַהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֵן הֵשִׁיב אֶת־חֲמָתִי מֵעַל בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּקַנְאֹו אֶת־קִנְאָתִי בְּתֹוכָם וְלֹא־כִלִּיתִי אֶת־בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּקִנְאָתִי׃

25:12 LAI TB, Sebab itu katakanlah: Sesungguhnya Aku berikan kepadanya perjanjian keselamatan yang dari pada-Ku
KJV, Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:

לָכֵן אֱמֹר הִנְנִי נֹתֵן לֹו אֶת־בְּרִיתִי שָׁלֹום׃
Translit, LAKHEN ‘EMOR HIN’NI NOTEN LO ‘ET-BERITI SYALOM
25:13 LAI TB, untuk menjadi perjanjian mengenai keimaman selama-lamanya bagi dia dan bagi keturunannya, karena ia telah begitu giat membela Allahnya dan telah mengadakan pendamaian bagi orang Israel.”
KJV, And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.

וְהָיְתָה לֹּו וּלְזַרְעֹו אַחֲרָיו בְּרִית כְּהֻנַּת עֹולָם תַּחַת אֲשֶׁר קִנֵּא לֵאלֹהָיו וַיְכַפֵּר עַל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃
Translit, VEHAITAH LO ULEZARO ‘AKHARAV BERIT KEHUNAT ‘OLAM TAKHAT ‘ASYER QINE LELOHAV VAYEKHAPER ‘AL-BENEY YISRAEL
25:14 LAI TB, Nama orang Israel yang mati terbunuh bersama-sama dengan perempuan Midian itu ialah Zimri bin Salu, pemimpin salah satu puak orang Simeon,
KJV, Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.

וְשֵׁם אִישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵל הַמֻּכֶּה אֲשֶׁר הֻכָּה אֶת־הַמִּדְיָנִית זִמְרִי בֶּן־סָלוּא נְשִׂיא בֵית־אָב לַשִּׁמְעֹנִי׃ x
Translit, VESYEM ‘ISY YISRA’EL HAMUKEH ‘ASYER HUKAH ‘ET-HAMIDYANIT ZIMRI BEN-SALU NESI VEIT-‘AV LASYIMONI
25:15 LAI TB, dan nama perempuan Midian yang mati terbunuh itu ialah Kozbi binti Zur; Zur itu adalah seorang kepala kaum–yaitu puak–di Midian.
KJV, And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.

וְשֵׁם הָאִשָּׁה הַמֻּכָּה הַמִּדְיָנִית כָּזְבִּי בַת־צוּר רֹאשׁ אֻמֹּות בֵּית־אָב בְּמִדְיָן הוּא׃ פ

25:17 LAI TB, Lawanlah orang Midian itu, dan tewaskanlah mereka,
KJV, Vex the Midianites, and smite them: .
Hebrew,
צָרֹור אֶת־הַמִּדְיָנִים וְהִכִּיתֶם אֹותָם׃
Translit, TSAROR ‘ET-HAMIDYANIM VEHIKITEM ‘OTAM
English Harass the Midianites, and smite them;
25:18 LAI TB, sebab mereka telah melawan kamu dengan daya upaya yang dirancang mereka terhadap kamu dalam hal Peor dan dalam hal Kozbi, saudara mereka, yakni anak perempuan seorang pemimpin Midian; Kozbi itu mati terbunuh pada waktu turunnya tulah karena Peor itu.”
KJV, For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor’s sake
