25:1 LAI TB, “Apabila ada perselisihan di antara beberapa orang, lalu mereka pergi ke pengadilan, dan mereka diadili dengan dinyatakannya siapa yang benar dan siapa yang salah,
KJV, If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.
Hebrew,
כִּי־יִהְיֶה רִיב בֵּין אֲנָשִׁים וְנִגְּשׁוּ אֶל־הַמִּשְׁפָּט וּשְׁפָטוּם וְהִצְדִּיקוּ אֶת־הַצַּדִּיק וְהִרְשִׁיעוּ אֶת־הָרָשָׁע׃

25:2 LAI TB, maka jika orang yang bersalah itu layak dipukul, haruslah hakim menyuruh dia meniarap dan menyuruh orang memukuli dia di depannya dengan sejumlah dera setimpal dengan kesalahannya.
KJV, And it shall be, if the wicked man be worthy to be beaten, that the judge shall cause him to lie down, and to be beaten before his face, according to his fault, by a certain number.
Hebrew,
וְהָיָה אִם־בִּן הַכֹּות הָרָשָׁע וְהִפִּילֹו הַשֹּׁפֵט וְהִכָּהוּ לְפָנָיו כְּדֵי רִשְׁעָתֹו בְּמִסְפָּר׃
Translit, VEHAYAH ‘IM-BIN HAKOT HARASHA VEHIPILO HASHOFET VEHIKAHU LEFANAV KEDEY RISH’ATO BEMIS’PAR

25:3 LAI TB, Empat puluh kali harus orang itu dipukuli, jangan lebih; supaya jangan saudaramu menjadi rendah di matamu, apabila ia dipukul lebih banyak lagi.
KJV, Forty stripes he may give him, and not exceed: lest, if he should exceed, and beat him above these with many stripes, then thy brother should seem vile unto thee.

אַרְבָּעִים יַכֶּנּוּ לֹא יֹסִיף פֶּן־יֹסִיף לְהַכֹּתֹו עַל־אֵלֶּה מַכָּה רַבָּה וְנִקְלָה אָחִיךָ לְעֵינֶיךָ׃ ס
Translit, ‘AR’BA’IM {empat puluh} YAKENU {harus dipukulkan} LO {padanya} YOSIF PEN-YOSIF {sungguh jangan ditambahkan padanya} LEHAKOTO {dan pemukulan padanya} ‘AL- {atas} ‘ELEH {hal2 ini} MAKAH {pukulan} RABAH {dengan banyak} VENIQ’LAH {dan menjadi rendah} ‘AKHIKHA {saudaramu} LE’EINEIKHA {padda matamu}

25:4 LAI TB, Janganlah engkau memberangus mulut lembu yang sedang mengirik.”
KJV, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.

25:5 LAI TB, “Apabila orang-orang yang bersaudara tinggal bersama-sama dan seorang dari pada mereka mati dengan tidak meninggalkan anak laki-laki, maka janganlah isteri orang yang mati itu kawin dengan orang di luar lingkungan keluarganya; saudara suaminya haruslah menghampiri dia dan mengambil dia menjadi isterinya dan dengan demikian melakukan kewajiban perkawinan ipar.
KJV, If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the wife of the dead shall not marry without unto a stranger: her husband’s brother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an husband’s brother unto her.

כִּי־יֵשְׁבוּ אַחִים יַחְדָּו וּמֵת אַחַד מֵהֶם וּבֵן אֵין־לֹו לֹא־תִהְיֶה אֵשֶׁת־הַמֵּת הַחוּצָה לְאִישׁ זָר יְבָמָהּ יָבֹא עָלֶיהָ וּלְקָחָהּ לֹו לְאִשָּׁה וְיִבְּמָהּ׃

25:6 LAI TB, Maka anak sulung yang nanti dilahirkan perempuan itu haruslah dianggap sebagai anak saudara yang sudah mati itu, supaya nama itu jangan terhapus dari antara orang Israel.
KJV, And it shall be, that the firstborn which she beareth shall succeed in the name of his brother which is dead, that his name be not put out of Israel.
Hebrew,
וְהָיָה הַבְּכֹור אֲשֶׁר תֵּלֵד יָקוּם עַל־שֵׁם אָחִיו הַמֵּת וְלֹא־יִמָּחֶה שְׁמֹו מִיִּשְׂרָאֵל׃
Translit, VEHAYAH HABEKHOR ‘ASHER TELED YAQUM ‘AL-SHEM ‘AKHIV HAMET VELO-YIMAKHE SHEMO MIYIS’RA’EL

25:7 LAI TB, Tetapi jika orang itu tidak suka mengambil isteri saudaranya, maka haruslah isteri saudaranya itu pergi ke pintu gerbang menghadap para tua-tua serta berkata: Iparku menolak menegakkan nama saudaranya di antara orang Israel, ia tidak mau melakukan kewajiban perkawinan ipar dengan aku.
KJV, And if the man like not to take his brother’s wife, then let his brother’s wife go up to the gate unto the elders, and say, My husband’s brother refuseth to raise up unto his brother a name in Israel, he will not perform the duty of my husband’s brother.

וְאִם־לֹא יַחְפֹּץ הָאִישׁ לָקַחַת אֶת־יְבִמְתֹּו וְעָלְתָה יְבִמְתֹּו הַשַּׁעְרָה אֶל־הַזְּקֵנִים וְאָמְרָה מֵאֵין יְבָמִי לְהָקִים לְאָחִיו שֵׁם בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא אָבָה יַבְּמִי׃
Translit, VE’IM-LO YAKHPOTS HA’ISH LAQAKHAT ‘ET-YEVIM’TO VE’AL’TAH YEVIMTO HASHARAH ‘EL-HAZEQENIM VE’AM’RAH ME’EN YEVAMI LEHAQIM LE’AKHIV SHEM BEYIS’RA’EL LO ‘AVAH YAB’MI

25:8 LAI TB, Kemudian para tua-tua kotanya haruslah memanggil orang itu dan berbicara dengan dia. Jika ia tetap berpendirian dengan mengatakan: Aku tidak suka mengambil dia sebagai isteri–
KJV, Then the elders of his city shall call him, and speak unto him: and if he stand to it, and say, I like not to take her;
Hebrew,
וְקָרְאוּ־לֹו זִקְנֵי־עִירֹו וְדִבְּרוּ אֵלָיו וְעָמַד וְאָמַר לֹא חָפַצְתִּי לְקַחְתָּהּ׃
Translit, VEQARU-LO ZIQ’NEY-‘IRO VEDIB’RU ‘ELAV VE’AMAD VE’AMAR LO KHAFATS’TI LEQAKH’TA

25:9 LAI TB, maka haruslah isteri saudaranya itu datang kepadanya di hadapan para tua-tua, menanggalkan kasut orang itu dari kakinya, meludahi mukanya sambil menyatakan: Beginilah harus dilakukan kepada orang yang tidak mau membangun keturunan saudaranya.
KJV, Then shall his brother’s wife come unto him in the presence of the elders, and loose his shoe from off his foot, and spit in his face, and shall answer and say, So shall it be done unto that man that will not build up his brother’s house.

וְנִגְּשָׁה יְבִמְתֹּו אֵלָיו לְעֵינֵי הַזְּקֵנִים וְחָלְצָה נַעֲלֹו מֵעַל רַגְלֹו וְיָרְקָה בְּפָנָיו וְעָנְתָה וְאָמְרָה כָּכָה יֵעָשֶׂה לָאִישׁ אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יִבְנֶה אֶת־בֵּית אָחִיו׃
Translit, VENIG’SHAH YEVIM’TO ‘ELAV LE’EINEY HAZEQENIM VEKHAL’TSAH NA’ALO ME’AL RAG’LO VEYAR’QAH BEFANAV VE’AN’TAH VE’AM’RAH KAKHAH YE’ASEH LA’ISH ‘ASHER LO-YIV’NEH ‘ET-BEIT ‘AKHIV

25:10 LAI TB, Dan di antara orang Israel namanya haruslah disebut: Kaum yang kasutnya ditanggalkan orang.”
KJV, And his name shall be called in Israel, The house of him that hath his shoe loosed.

וְנִקְרָא שְׁמֹו בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל בֵּית חֲלוּץ הַנָּעַל׃ ס

25:11 LAI TB, “Apabila dua orang berkelahi dan isteri yang seorang datang mendekat untuk menolong suaminya dari tangan orang yang memukulnya, dan perempuan itu mengulurkan tangannya dan menangkap kemaluan orang itu,
KJV, When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets:

25:12 LAI TB, maka haruslah kaupotong tangan perempuan itu; janganlah engkau merasa sayang kepadanya.”
KJV, Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.

25:13 LAI TB, “Janganlah ada di dalam pundi-pundimu dua macam batu timbangan, yang besar dan yang kecil.
KJV, Thou shalt not have in thy bag divers weights, a great and a small.

לֹא־יִהְיֶה לְךָ בְּכִיסְךָ אֶבֶן וָאָבֶן גְּדֹולָה וּקְטַנָּה׃ ס

25:14 LAI TB, Janganlah ada di dalam rumahmu dua macam efa, yang besar dan yang kecil.
KJV, Thou shalt not have in thine house divers measures, a great and a small.

לֹא־יִהְיֶה לְךָ בְּבֵיתְךָ אֵיפָה וְאֵיפָה גְּדֹולָה וּקְטַנָּה׃

25:15 LAI TB, Haruslah ada padamu batu timbangan yang utuh dan tepat; haruslah ada padamu efa yang utuh dan tepat–supaya lanjut umurmu di tanah yang diberikan kepadamu oleh TUHAN, Allahmu.
KJV, But thou shalt have a perfect and just weight, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

25:16 LAI TB, Sebab setiap orang yang melakukan hal yang demikian, setiap orang yang berbuat curang, adalah kekejian bagi TUHAN, Allahmu.”
KJV, For all that do such things, and all that do unrighteously, are an abomination unto the LORD thy God.

25:18 LAI TB, bahwa engkau didatangi mereka di jalan dan semua orang lemah pada barisan belakangmu dihantam mereka, sedang engkau lelah dan lesu. Mereka tidak takut akan Allah.
KJV, How he met thee by the way, and smote the hindmost of thee, even all that were feeble behind thee, when thou wast faint and weary; and he feared not God.

25:19 LAI TB, Maka apabila TUHAN, Allahmu, sudah mengaruniakan keamanan kepadamu dari pada segala musuhmu di sekeliling, di negeri yang diberikan TUHAN, Allahmu, kepadamu untuk dimiliki sebagai milik pusaka, maka haruslah engkau menghapuskan ingatan kepada Amalek dari kolong langit. Janganlah lupa!”
KJV, Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.
